So I can't believe life so complicated! Had an IUI yesterday (doc states it all looks great and think this could be the one). Of course I'm thinking "We just might have conceived our first child!!!" And then I get a call from my mother that my grandfather just passed away. Crushed, heart broken (not surprised since he was diagnosed with terminal cancer) but still.....hurt hurt hurt.... Oh and I'm not suppost to stress during this time!!! Yea right.... NOT to mention I had told my grandfather that when I have a baby we will use his name "James" as a middle name for our child!!! Grandpa keep giving me these long talks about how he can't wait for me to have a baby (I am the oldest grandaughter) and he's looking forward to holding the little one. Makes me soooo sad. Also, I do find it weird that we might have conceived the same day my grandfather passed away. I don't believe in reincarnation but I do find the whole idea of a life coming into this world and a life leaving it to be so surreal.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I havea similar story. We had been caring for my MIL for the past year, she had Alz. and she started Hospice in February. We took adavantage of the respite care through Hospice and took a small trip. Two weeks after we got back MIL took a turn for the worse and I found out the same week that I was pregnant. She passed a wek and a half ago.

Try not to be sad. Maybe your Grandpa gave you the best gift. I really feel blessed that we conceived. I feel it's a gift. Nothing could make MIL better and she isn't suffereing anymore like your Grandpa isn't.

    Hugs to you!
