On September 11, I went in for a pap and bloodwork. Didn't know that OB would pull out the hand held doppler to hear the heartbeat. I got a little nervous because we have never gotten to this point before. As he moved the doppler across I caught a sound of what I thought was the hearbeat but he had passed it and had to go back. Yep, that is what I heard as he said, there it is!!!!!!! The rate was around 170-178 bpm. What a beautiful sound. I only wished I had recorded it. Thank you Lord for another blessing. We were giving the testing options because of my ama. Gerald was adament that we were going to take what the Lord gives us. So, no testing for us.

Today I am 12w6 days. I really want to rent the babybeat doppler so I can hear the heartbeat at home. I have 2 more weeks before my next appointment and I don't know if I can make it that long. I want to turn in the required letter for my job but I want to hear the hearbeat again. My clothes are getting a bit more snug but I think I can hold out another 2 weeks before I turn in that letter and inform my immediate boss in person.
