On September 11, I went in for a pap and bloodwork. Didn't know that OB would pull out the hand held doppler to hear the heartbeat. I got a little nervous because we have never gotten to this point before. As he moved the doppler across I caught a sound of what I thought was the hearbeat but he had passed it and had to go back. What a marvelous day. Gerald and I were able to see our baby move and hear the heartbeat. I measured right to date 9w2d and h/b was 177bpm. I had my ultrasound on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. The u/s tech took a while measuring. She then asked did I know I had fibroids and I said yes. The she went on after locating each one and measuring. Soon after that she said look up (I had my eyes closed I was so scared). Then she turned up the speakers and we heard and saw the heartbeat. She said I was very early, which I knew since the u/s was because of my history and the fact I had started spotting. The baby measured 5w5d....

Yesterday my spotting changed to dark red!!!! I was terrified. I laid in bed all day and night. This morning, Sunday, it appears to have stopped and changed to a brownish color. Thank you Lord! I did not tell DH about the red. He worries so and it can sometimes stress me out. I am still going to take it easy today and stay in bed all day. 2nd beta is in from Tuesday, 9/4....6097. I got the results on Wednedsay 9/5. I was a little worried because I started seeing a light pink spotting on Tuesday night. I did not continue walking for my usual 30 minutes daily since involves hills. I'm hoping it is just from the prometrium irritating my cervix.
