  1. Is this what insomnia is?

    by , 07-15-2008 at 03:00 AM
Waking at 4am, knowing you need to go back to sleep because you are tired yet your body has no intentions of doing so?

That is me this morning, the second day in a row. I remember it happening in my other pgs but it was a tad later than 4am I finally gave in at 4:40. There is no way I was going to get comfortable again and by the time I get back to sleep, my little J will start calling me. So, here I sit. If I were on the west coast, it would have been 1am. Glad ...

  2. Wow, it has been a while...

    by , 07-14-2008 at 06:22 PM
I keep thinking that I want to update my blog but I never have the time to gather my thoughts long enough these days.

I am officially 36 weeks pregnant now. Holy cow. I am in shock that it has gone by so quickly and smoothly. I am putting the final touches on organizing my house, having Js 2nd birthday party this weekend, and planning on spending my final 2 weeks finishing up and spending time with G and J. I keep telling G that mommy will be feeling better soon and things will ...

  3. Big milestone for me today in my pg (loss ment)

    by , 02-12-2008 at 03:18 PM
Today I hit 14 weeks. I was 14 weeks when I had my first loss. It was a seemingly healthy baby girl (tests were done because it was intact and developed enough) but somehow my body gave away and I went into labor. By the time I got to the hospital, baby was almost out and there was no turning back.

Anyway, today is the 14 week mark that I have wanted so desperately to pass so I can feel safer. The thought of it brings tears to my eyes because it was such an emotional time. Not ...

  5. Apparently I am a lush (pg ment)

    by , 01-31-2008 at 03:45 AM

I told the woman who works with me that I am pg. She said she figured as much because when we were at the conference in Washington early December, I didn't have any drinks so that is always her cue that I am pg.

Then we told my MIL yesterday. She said she was "concerned" when we went out a few weeks ago and I didn't have my usual glass(es) of wine. She said she knew something was going on then. She is nearing 80 years old.

    I guess ...

  6. U/s Update and we broke the news! (xpost)

    by , 01-30-2008 at 03:51 AM
The ultrasound yesterday was wonderful. Little bean was nice and snug upside down next to the placenta and there was plenty of fluid all around. He (I call him that rather than IT!) measured 11w5d which is right on target with me ovulating a day late and being 12 weeks. We saw the complete spinal column, a thin neck (a thick neck is an early sign of Downs), ribs, and the legs were crossed.

All of a sudden he started moving a little and then a lot. He was stretching, moving all over, ...

  7. Feeling sort of down today

    by , 01-16-2008 at 05:54 PM
I am just not feeling as happy as I should today. It has to do with staying home with the kids and feeling icky and exhausted so much. My kids are awesome. I can't ask for better kids. I am just so tired of parenting 24-7. I get a break to work for 7 hours a week. That is it. And then, I am busting my ass to run a business and keep it going while not getting paid for the first two months of the year (the world of nonprofit funding). So, it is not the biggest break. DH has been taking on ...

  8. 10 weeks down, 29 to go!!!

    by , 01-16-2008 at 03:45 AM
My u/s was great yesterday. The heartbeat was a whopping 179!! and the baby was doing a dance for us.

We are off to my OB (who has been with me for all 6 pregnancies) in two weeks. The office manager was so excited when I told her I was pg and already 10 weeks. She said she can't wait to see my OBs face when he sees me on the appt schedule that day. They are so good to me over there.

DH is still very cautious and reserved. He suggested staying with ...

    by , 01-12-2008 at 04:00 AM
What a vicious cycle Last night I was so tired, I was falling alseep at 8:15. This morning? DD was moving around almost on top of me at 4am and I never got back to sleep. I finally got up at 5 and DS is now talking in his crib. The hormones are to blame and I am just looking forward to a nice LONG nap today I am so happy it is Saturday and although DH will work in his office, he will do most of the work in the downstairs office... right next to the playroom... far away from where ...

  10. Friend update

    by , 01-11-2008 at 04:22 AM
She finally called a few hours later. She did have at least one contraction while being monitored. The Drs were surprised at how much blood was in her urine. She said it still poured out but was in her urine. They are treating it as a UTI and kept her out of work until Tuesday. I told her to STAY IN BED!!!!!!!!!!! This is her first pg so she can rest all she wants. It is funnt because we went to lunch on Wednesday and said her stomach was crampy. She thought it was her actual stomach but ...
