Second trimester at last!

Well, the twins and I have turned the corner to the second trimester! NO energy surge, but I feel MUCH more like myself since going off the extra meds, thank goodness! It's so wonderful to not take a PIO shot every night!
The babies are 16.5 weeks and growing well; I haven't had a good look at them since the nuchal scan (which went very well, thank goodness), but apparently they're about the size of avocadoes right now, and I've begun feeling them move! Well, one of them mostly. I know they're both squirming around in ways that I can't sense much of the time, but every now the one on the right side makes a move that makes me jump and go "OOOH!" It's like a roundhouse kick or a somersault vault or something!
I've got a definite baby bump now and am enjoying shopping for maternity clothes. Most of the garments are so-so, but every now and then I find something in my size I really like. My ideal is, of course, the maternity wardrobe worn by Teyla, a pregnant character on "Stargate: Atlantis". Gorgeous, cool, outfits that drape and part in flowing layers around her belly. I can dream! This spring after I am done with school I want to sew some cool things like that.
I've gone up from a 34/36 bra size to a 38! Naturally, new bras are in order. So the other day I got my first new bra since the b@@b fairy bestowed these bazongas on me... and lordy it makes it look like I have deadly weapons strapped to my chest! Overall, I prefer athletic tops with a shelf bra, and I wear those like an undershort or camisole, but under some tops you just need a regular "Bustenhalter," so look out world, here come the new b@@bs!
Yesterday one of my students (I teach literature to college students) finally asked if I was pregnant. She was so cute and funny asking me, and I was glad to finally let the cat out of the bag. (Come to think of it, that's kind of what it feels like when the baby does that move -- a cat in a bag!)
Yesterday another cool thing happened... I stopped into the office where I worked last summer, and found that two of my former coworkers are also pregnant! It was so amazing! They are younger, in their 30s, and I'm sure they got p/g naturally -- no IVF, no DE -- but that difference makes no difference to me now. We were all so happy for each other! I'm going to join the office shower next month.
No word on gender yet. I might find out next week or I may have to wait for the 20-week scan.
