If there is a good side...

I've got a span of 7 years between my two girls and while I was TTC my second child, I thought that things were HORRIBLE... well, they actually were pretty horrible. Having lived through all of that, and conquering it, I've decided that God knew what he was doing. He knows me and knows my limits. There would be no way I could be a parent to two teenage daughters at once!

I love reading blogs and always regret not keeping one. I'm going to attempt to do better. I always think that I have to write a novel or something, when all I really need to do is record a thought, or an event that is significant.

Let's see... today was my week to make coffee at church. I got there at 7:30am. Only the Pastor's were there. It's always so cool being in the building so early... before it starts buzzing with people. After church I came home and got Emma started ...

I would like to "try" to enter daily notes into my blog. I had a great day hanging around the house. Didn't do very much cleaning/reorganizing today, but did manage to make an awesome dinner... pork tenderloin with some blackeyed peas that we brought home from Florida over the summer. They have been waiting patiently in my freezer and yum-oh, they were good.

After charting and tons of BMS, it was time to take action! We tried clomid for several months and that did nothing... Tried IUI once... nothing. By this time, Olivia was about 5 years old. She was really getting interested in having a baby sister or brother and that realoy hurt. I not only felt like I was letting Mike down, but now her too! I never dreamed that she would truly be an only child, but it seems like the harder we tried, the worse things got.

This story is SO long... I could not possibly sum it up in one blog, plus it is still very painful. I don't relish going through it from start to finish. But, here is more:

I really, really am lucky! I was 23 when I got pregnant with Olivia. It was unplanned, but perfect nonetheless. Mike and I had just started out as a young married couple. He was finishing up at UNF in Jacksonville and I was working full time. Olivia came along and we were the happiest people in the world! She was born in 1994. We barely had 2 nickels to rub together and here we were... living in the greatest little apartment not a block away from the ocean on St. Augustine beach, parents ...

Last night, Olivia went to the movies with three of her friends from school. One of the Mom's was gracious enough to do the picking up and the dropping off. She had so much fun. It was her first outing like that without actual parents sitting in the theater. I could tell it was really "something" for her! Anyway, one of her friends spent the night and now her, Olivia, Emma and I are going to breakfast. Mike won't be home until tomorrow night. So, we are just having a fun "girls" ...

Mike was born and raised in St. Augustine. I moved there when I was 17. We started dating when I was 18, married when I was 23 and had Olivia 5 days after I turned 24. When Olivia was 2 we moved. We both have family there and when we take our vacations, that's where we go. Always. I love that city so much...

It's Saturday morning and Olivia had her friend Megan spend the night. Megan has an older sister and a young brother. They are all three home schooled. Megan is SO smart it amazes me... I am glad that she and Olivia are friends. They really seem to get each other. The are still sleeping and ...
