but not sure how. It has been four months since my Dad passed away. Mom had that surgery last week and then a minor complication. Again last night, she was feeling lightheaded, chest pains and shakey. My brother who is a paramedic went over to be with her and figure out what to do...he thought she was obviously very anxious and having some type of panic attack. He told her to call the squad to take her to the hospital. They agreed it was underlying stress and depression which has been building since Dad passed away. She saw her family M.D. and she feels the same. Gave her some meds and told Mom it was probably time to speak with someone to get all these feelings out...Mom has agreed to do this. What more can we, as her kids do? It has been so hard and I am trying to balance everything (Mom and helping her, work, my family)....I just don't know what else to do.

I just breaks my heart...I know that I have been very down and depressed at the loss so I can only imagine what she is feeling. Loosing the love of her life after 49 yrs. of marriage. Sob....

when my dad passed away, it was really hard on my mom, harder than she thought it would be. We spent as much time as we could with mom, let her talk about him, cry about him, etc....
to you. It doesn't seem like its been almost 4 months. our parents both passed away the same day. It doesn't seem fair.

It was really hard for my mom at first also. We spent as much time with her as we could....but there was just so much we could do ourselves........

I will pray for your mom....grieving is so difficult and painful...
