Yesterday I took Amy to pre-school for the first time. I was so nervous and worried about how Amy would react, I knew she would like to play but what about when I left! How would she do then?

We arrived at 10.30am and we took Amy to her classroom, her 2 teachers were there and greeted her so sweetly, Amy was not at all interested in them, She went straight to the dress up part and put on the shoes. I waited a little while but it was like I was not even there, So I left! I cried the whole way home! My baby is going to pre-school!


When I got home I busied myself with cleaning up and getting things in order. Cameron and I played lots and that felt wonderful to be able to give my full focus to Cameron. I called my Mom and MIL to tell them how she did. But by 1pm I felt like me left arm was missing. I started to get restless. My DH works just a few minutes from the pre-school so I sent him to go see how she was doing. He arrived and all the kids were sleeping apart from Amy. She didn't see Daddy so she was ok.

At 3.30 I went to pick her up! She had done AWESOME! The only issue were at nap time but she ended up sleeping for 1 1/2 hours. When I arrived she was so involved that she didn't even notice me. I called her name and she came RUNNING and gave me a HUGE hug. Then she pointed at Cameron and Said Baby Camwyn (how she pronounces it) and gave him a kiss! It was so sweet! She had done painting and also a sand picture. She showed me where her peg was and also her own draw. She was SO proud. I asked her if she was ready to come home. The part I was dreading just incase she screamed and cried not to leave. I wanted her to be ready to come home. To be with her Mommy now.

Well I was delighted. She said Yes, Ran and found her shoes, put them on and got her little blue bag! Said goodbye and left. ALL the way home she was telling me all about stuff, I just wish I understood it all!

We took her out to dinner to celebrate her first day at pre chool and made a huge fuss of her all evening. She was pretty pooped and crashed out at 8pm.....

She had a great day!
