The kids got 3 audio books for Christmas. We were leaving for a 600 mile (each way) trip the next day so this seemed like a great idea. Well, dh and I just about jumped out the window after listening for awhile. The first one we listened to was the Frances collection. DD was entertained but DS was not. The author's voice is sooooooooo grating! The singing, the voice, oh my - it was awful! We couldn't stop it though as it would not have been fair to DD who was into it. At least we have something ...

Feeling quite irritable today. I can't pinpoint an exact reason but my fuse is very short today! I am TRYING not to lash out at anyone since no one has really done anything. I'm on CD29 today. I think that could have something to do with it... I have never had bad pms before though- never noticed anything related to just before AF. Maybe it's because I have done 100% of Xmas by myself? OK I must be fair... it's closer to 99.8%.

I really try to NOT complain about dh here. I try NOT to dwell on anything negative and to let most everything go. But sometimes it's sooooo very hard! I just snapped at him as he walked out the door to work. Sometimes it's just too much! I was standing there doing the dishes... he has been slacking ALOT lately on that. I am doing the laundry at the same time. I made everyone breakfast and now I'm baking two different types of Xmas cookies. Soooo.... I told him hours ago to allow TONS ...

speaking of the God and cape thing... when home with my parents in August, my mother took ds to church. When he saw the preacher, he asked her if that was God. Mom said the preacher overheard him and told him, no, but he worked for God.

I must write down the things my kids say more often. I feel like I am missing some really cute ones. Anyway...

yesterday, DS asked (out of the blue) if God has a cape. I thought that was cute and realized that it just sounds so magical to him..... like a super hero. DD quickly told him NO.... he does not have a cape, he flies without one!

I went out with a coworker last night. We met for some appetizers and drinks (just one for me and none for her) and dessert.
