I haven't posted anything in my blog in almost a year! And reading it now is just like wow.... it was when I was so scared about my tumor, my surgery, etc.

And now here I am just posting about my mom because she has a growth on her kidney. I am scared for her! I am so worried about her. There is more to the story but I am too tired to write now. I really, really, really need my mom! She is so vibrant and agile and healthy! This was all picked up during an employee health screen at work (wacky labs) and then led to a renal scan, and now to more tests. We are all in fear of the C word! So worried and upset about her! I love my mom so much. I have always been such a mama's girl!

So sorry to hear about your mom I'll be praying for good news...

My dad had a growth (yes, cancerous) on his kidney about 7 years ago -- when he was 80. He had the kidney removed, and is STILL totally vibrant and active today at 87. He didn't need chemo or radiation (the growth was encapsulated, so they got it all) but DOES now watch his diet & is tested regularly for "pre-diabetes" (diabetics tend to have kidney issues and when you only have one left, they need to be a tad more cautious). And he can still kick my 37 year-old a$$ at an 18-hole game of golf!

I'm so sorry to hear this L....I'll be thinking of you and your mom and hoping that you receive good news. The fear of the unknown is horrible, isn't it?

    Hang in there.... s
