  1. So much to do....

    by , 05-07-2009 at 09:31 AM
    yet here I sit.

My "to do" list is 2 pages long. Literally. Yet here I sit watching my year old colt think it may be cool to breed his mother. Looks like a weekend gelding is in order....... One more thing on the list.

( Yesterday when DS and I were doing a pasture walk we noticed the colt being a little more attentive to the mares than usual. He really shouldn't be in with them at all - but he is because it's just been easier up to this point. Of ...

  2. Three days of summer.

    by , 04-27-2009 at 03:29 PM
The last 3 days have been summer. What's the opposite of Indian Summer - gorgeous summer weather early in spring. Teasing us. We will have frost at least on more time- probably more than once. We will definitely have cooler temps, starting tomorrow in fact.

But dang it's been nice. We have done a lot. Reminded again what a great summer home this is..... the porches are just grand. Since there are 3 doors that open to the front porch and 4 that open to the back, there is ...

  3. Long day on the road= new pony!!

    by , 04-26-2009 at 10:13 AM
We drove to Virginia yesterday to pick up our new yearling. We also took a mare to be bred. It was a perfect day to travel, actually a little warm. Meg went along. We tried to discourage her but we couldn't...... it's about 5 1/2 to 6 hours each way with the trailer - so a long day indeed. She was a trooper as was our new filly!! It was a day of firsts for her..... first time in a trailer, of course first long trailer ride. And unbeknownst to me she hadn't really been weaned yet! She ...

  4. Real Housewives, my reality show confessions. LMAO!

    by , 04-22-2009 at 09:25 AM
Ya know, reality TV works for me. I absolutely do not have the time to watch TV. Someday we may just get rid of the thing - but that won't happen because I do make time to watch horse racing and college football ( and truly enjoy it!)

So reality works for me because I can do 8 other things ( including work) and not miss much and since most shows are shown many times, I can watch it in the middle of night waiting on bloodwork/patients/clients etc.

    After making ...

  5. Palm Beach Polo Horse Deaths.

    by , 04-20-2009 at 10:39 AM
Shocking and beyond belief. This is going to be a horrendous story when all the facts come out. There are very few things, and no natural toxic exposures that would cause these type of losses in such a short time period. There is almost no way that some kind of human sabotage is not involved. Timed perfectly for the most gruesome and dramatic effect.

    Sad and sick.

  6. Mash

    by , 04-18-2009 at 01:06 AM
There are more than a few MASH episodes that are memorable. A couple about drop me to my knees everytime I see them. One is Capt. Blake's trip home.

Another aired tonight. I usually try to avoid seeing again.... tonight I watched it. It's toward the end of the series- it's when Hawkeye loses it. You know the one about the chicken. If you are a MASH fan you probably know the episode.....'nuff said.

Makes be cry..... sobbed the first time. Heartbreaking.

  7. Coupons.

    by , 04-17-2009 at 09:12 AM
I have become addicted with coupons. I am so NOT a coupon shopper. I recently decided WTF, lets see if I can save some money. I am not picky about brands.

I have been using every coupon for toilet tissue, laundry detergent, lotion etc I can find. And I buy it on my next trip to the store. Our store does double coupons. I also did some at Rite Aid for the things we don't have in our store. Am I saving money? I don't know but we surely are not going to run out of TP ...

  8. Marley and Me.

    by , 04-16-2009 at 10:18 PM
    It's good.

I know it had some mixed reviews. Probably from people that thought it was a "dog movie". It's not... it's a movie about life. The normal everyday wonderful/horrible things that make up life.

I had someone tell me - don't watch it, he dies. "of what?" I asked. "They put him to sleep, he's old". OK... well although that is sad, it's not tragic. Big difference. Does that make me sound cold? I appreciate there is ...

  9. Ugh.

    by , 04-16-2009 at 09:57 PM
I am worried. Worried sick. Oh please Lord let this be something like BPPV or some other "normal middle aged woman" type of thing.......

She SOOOOO doesn't deserve this, nor does her precious family - which is one of the reasons it scares me so. No justice in this disease for sure.

  10. More judging.

    by , 04-15-2009 at 12:33 PM
A busy summer in the making.

Just this week I have agreed to judge in VA in July and inspect/judge in CA in June. SO that means CA and VA in June, VA again in July, VT in August then Ireland in August too. I don't think I can commit to much more than that and have any hope of getting anything done with my own herd.
