i'm so sick of hearing parents act holier than thou. like they know all the answers and that their style is right for all children.
whatever.
this morning on tv they were discussing bf. NOT TRYING TO START A DEBATE OR INSULT ANYONE.
i'm all for bf'ing, if that is your choice. i agree it's the healthiest thing for babies. but not all women can do it. and not all women want to. and that doesn't mean we are doing harm to our children.
i tried to bf. with twins...are you kidding me? i didn't make enough milk for both. i pumped for about a month and supplemented with formula. never made enough milk for both, so i gave up and went on formula 100%. it was a PITA to have to pump.
now both of my girls are very healthy. never had an ear infection. never been on antibiotics.
so don't tell me that i did the wrong thing. get off your high horse and realize that bf is not the ONLY answer.
p1ssed me off for the whole morning.
i hate people preaching to me about what i should do. go tend to your own life.

I totally hear you! I tried to b/f for four months with the twins, it was awful! I felt so much better when we just did formula! But I felt so much pressure from everybody to breastfeed, it made me feel like a bad momma if I didn't breastfeed. But I just couldn't do it! I still held alot of guilt over feeding them formula! But they've always been healthy, so its really okay to formula feed! And there shouldn't be so much pressure from everybody to breastfeed when you just can't do it!

People who breastfeed and never have a problem are the worse, they totally don't understand where we are coming from!!!

Totally feel the same way. Tried and tried and tried to bf and pump and do it all, didn't work out, couldn't do it and felt horrible thanks to all the pressure from nazi lactation consultants in the hospital and basically those people who are very judgmental because they could do it and were not very understanding of those of us who could not! Nor did they have twins like us, I might add! So, amen to you for your candor!! Anyway, whew, just had to get that off my chest..no pun intended..LMBO!!! And no debates here either, not ignoring the benefits of bfing, just saying it is not for everyone, try though they might! On the bandwagon a bit late here, by maybe a year..lol..
