Okay, I'll jump on the bandwagon and start my blog. I think I just want to use this as a way to document our ongoing journey towards the adoption of our second child.

Today is 11/20/04 and we have been waiting about 15 months to adopt baby #2. I just finished a batch of 25 profiles last weekend. I have just been so incredibly busy and tired between my full time job, the profiles for the adoption, and all the regular chores.

Our 3 month extension to our 2 year contract expires on 12/2/04, we are hoping for another extention, but we are worried that we will not be given one, because we turned down a situation on 10/20/04. It was a last minute deal and we thought the birthmother was going to change her mind. We had to make a decision right away, and fly to her state, but between the really bad timing and what we thought were red flags, we decided not to go forward. Our contact with our facilitator told us, even though we did not ask, that everything went smoothly in that situation.

Today I decided to proceed with our Christmas cards. I was still holding on to a thread of hope that we would have an additional little one to photograph, but December is right around the corner. I printed some return labels and will probably print our family beach picture to insert in the cards tomorrow.

Well, that's about it for now....
