    by , 05-28-2011 at 09:34 AM
well this is going to probably be a TMI blogpost, but it's coming from my heart. I as a child suffered sexual abuse as a child via a foster child we had living with us. I was told by my parents are I was nasty, I was bad it was bad blah blah. I was under 10 years of age. I then had my mother told me at 14 that I was "whore" because my hair was up on one side, no word of a lie. I was always called names like "boobslaroo" by my own family mainly parents as I was a full "C" ...

  6. Aidan's health update

    by , 01-16-2011 at 11:10 AM
Well his severe GERD is still severe and he is still on 100mgs of losec. He has been cleared by the cardiologist that his heart is fine..thank god! He however didn't do so well at a sleep study and came back with significant obstructed sleep apnea. He stops breathing 10x per hour for a min of 10seconds per episode. So we have booked him to have his tonsils and adnoids out on March 2. We still go to the children's hospital every 3 months to be followed up by the GI department and honestly he ...

  8. The good news...it's not cancer, the other somewhat good news

    by , 10-16-2010 at 09:02 AM
I have to a sub-total hystorectomy in February. So They told me I had hyperplasia of the endometrium lining and my obgyn did an on the spot in office d&c (non medicated) and then also did a biopsy, which just came back normal...Thank God! So my bleeding is way out of control and the dr and I went back and forth about all my options and he recommended a sub-total hystorectomy. Another reason we choose this is the uterine lining could in time develop the cancer that this condition has with ...

  9. Reflux, Asthma and now potenital heart/lung problems

    by , 09-29-2010 at 07:06 AM
I just think this poor boy of mine has been through so much, can't he get a break. I know it can be sooo much worst, walking through the halls of the children's hospital reminds me of that. We are lucky but still we have to live in our daily lives and for us it's alot. Aidan still has severe reflux, I say that like it might go away-- it's been deemed life long so it's never going away. He is on 100mg's of losec a day. He now has asthma which the ped believes that it is caused by the reflux. ...

  10. Aidan's almost 5 year stats & reflux update

    by , 03-24-2010 at 06:02 AM
Ok we went back to sick kids hospital on Monday and received the results to his ph probe. He is still refluxing with 80mgs' of losec a day and he's really bad through the night (laying down) . We have now increased his meds to 100mg's of losec a day(max dose fo 5mgs per kilo). We are also being referred to the chest clinic and then a sleep study as well. It's crazy, but after walking the halls of this hospital, he truly doesn't have it that bad at all. So hard looking at all the kids that are ...
