    by , 05-21-2013 at 07:51 PM
Hello. Today is my first day joining Fertile Thoughts. I was diagnosed with cancer when i was 22 years old, and had a re-occurrence of same cancer when i was 25. After my second diagnosis, I sought for second opinion for treatment options, and ended up being treated at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. My only chance of cure was to have a very extensive surgery to removed the tumor. The surgery was successful. I am 26 and am now cancer free. I am not able to have children of my own due ...

  4. Things don't always go as planned...

    by , 12-26-2012 at 07:30 PM
Sunday - At 10:30am or so I went into Labor and Delivery to see if I had any progression in my cervix. I was just at 4cm, 70% effaced. I was given the option of staying or going home to continue my labor. Decided I might as well go home since it could easily be another 8-10 hours from where I was. The midwife said she was pretty sure I'd be back later tonight to have my baby. If only she knew...

9:15pm - Once at home my contractions never got 'harder' or 'more painful' or even ...

  5. I'm New. Here is my story (with POF), and some questions.

    by , 09-18-2012 at 06:04 AM
So, as the title says, I'm new. I am seventeen right now, definitely not trying to get pregnant yet, but am trying to understand my condition better and explore my options.

I was always very petite. I had not started my period or gained any sex characteristics by the time I was fifteen, so we figured something was wrong. I live in a very remote place (Papua New Guinea) temporarily, so it took us a long time to go see a Doctor. I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure (POF). ...

  7. Well.....I Guess NOT!

    by , 09-02-2012 at 02:57 PM
So apparently 2012 is not the year....but it sure is for everyone around me!

Its almost like i'm one of those fertility statues, anyone who gets around me gets pregnant, except for me. Its really starting to irritate me and make me bitter about this whole situation.
So after trying and failing, I got a job, to distract me, and help relief some of the burden off my husbands shoulder, and everything was going good. I've met a lot of nice people at work and it really

  8. We will be wonderful mothers

    by , 07-29-2012 at 11:35 AM
I just found this piece on the internet and had to share... anonymous author:

There are women that become mothers without effort, without thought, without patience or loss and though they are good mothers and love their children, I know I will be better.

I will be better not because of genetics or money or that I have read more books, but because I have struggled and toiled for this child. I have longed and waited. I have cried and I prayed. I have endured and planned ...
