I just called Vini to talk about tonight's National Night Out plans (Minneapolis leads the nation in this event for cities our size, la la la) - anyway, he answered the phone not with "hello" but with "Yes you ARE in big trouble!"

We are getting some work done on our house. Two guys were here yesterday and Monday doing insulation work in the attic. One of them looks EXACTLY like Robert DeNiro circa 1975 or so. I mean, the Taxi Driver was rolling up hose in my backyard! I couldn't believe it.

One day coming back from Max's apartment, Cole and I decided (well, I decided) to check out Lake Union. I had no idea where it really was - duh kinda obvious once I saw it - it is only a giant lake just north of downtown - but I called a boating place to ask what exit to take. Mercer St - ok. Wednesday Cole and I landed at SeaTac fifteen minutes early. Great start; however we then sat on the plane for an hour because the jetway ramp wouldn't reach the plane! Finally they drove to another gate and we were able to get out. During all this I was texting with Max, who was watching the USA game (the one we WON) downtown at Fox Sports.

We got our rental car and headed downtown. Cole was on the phone with Max, who was walking to meet us. How awesome to see my tall, handsome son...

So last night Vini had soccer. Usually I go to bed before he gets home (around 11), but I was hooked on YouTube videos of Adam Lambert's concert at Mystic Lake, which my sister and I had attended, but didn't have the greatest seats. The videos were taken much closer up, so I was watching them one after another.

Anyway, I was still up when Vini came home, so we went to bed together after all, much later than usual for me on a weeknight....
