3boys2luv

Met in person:
3boys2luv
MamaBear

BlessedMama

And I did all these while living in a small town out in the middle of nowhere! There are numerous others of you I'd love to have lunch with too. Now if I could only get myself to an FT get-together . . . .

P.S. Did I forget someone?

Funny brothers

Posted 09-26-2009 at 06:47 PM by BC-katrack

Mine, that is. I don't see my brothers very often as we each live a long way from each other. In fact, although we've seen each other within the past year or two, we haven't all seen each other together for nearly nine years. Well, this weekend we're together. It's funny how we revert to our teenage interactions as soon as we sit down in the same room.

Here we are together:
And with our...

Posted 08-25-2009 at 03:45 PM by BC-katrack

I can never figure out how to locate someone in particular's blog so I can't find yours to comment on your recent post.

Chimon = Jumong

Wow, my Korean-->English really stinks!!!!!

Jumong was the show everyone was talking about the first time I went to Korea. I'm going to try to find that one next.

Some information for one of my readers

Trying to figure out what to do

Posted 05-11-2009 at 09:15 PM by BC-katrack

I have a great set of neighbors--immigrant couple of about seven years with a Kindergarten-aged son. All four of the children (my three and their one) play together nearly every day, mostly at my house because we have a good play structure, but also because we have lots happening at our house. I'm happy with all of that.

The thing that has happened a few times is their little one shows up at our door and says his father sent him over because Dad is going shopping for half an hour...

Anyone had dental implants??

Rye bread and whole wheat bread

Posted 02-27-2009 at 11:30 AM by BC-katrack

We were out of bread and I had determined to get back to regular homemade bread, not from the breadmaker and certainly not the fluffy stuff I've been buying lately. I mixed up a batch of two large loaves then as I was getting ready to close the cookbook I noticed a recipe for rye bread on the opposite page. I remembered my mom brought me enough rye flour one time to make a single loaf and I had stashed it and done nothing with it. I looked on the shelf where I thougt I'd put it and miracle of...

63

Posted 02-23-2009 at 08:52 AM by BC-katrack

Okay, that doesn't trump MamaBear's 72, but in the summer when I have a comfortable 90, she has 100. I think today will include a trip to the park and some laundry to hang outside.

Last year we had snow in June so I'm not really getting out my spring things just yet . . . .

Dd's birthday plans

Posted 02-19-2009 at 10:43 AM by BC-katrack

I haven't seen dd and dgs since last week so I called her yesterday to invite them over for dinner for her birthday. I asked her what she wanted for dinner since the birthday child always gets to choose and she paused and said, "Homemade macaroni and cheese." I was pretty pleased and here is why: during the years my big kids were going back and forth between my house and their father's house I always made homemade macaroni and cheese when they came home. It was a conscious effort,...

Warm enough to hang laundry outside, then snow

Posted 02-08-2009 at 05:52 PM by BC-katrack

Yesterday I worked in the yard and hung laundry outside and today we had snow. If I lived in a different location I'd think spring was thinking about coming, but I know my area well enough to know we were just extremely lucky to have a week of weather in the 50s! Snow and cold weather is normal here this time of year. In fact, we had snow in June last year, so I'm not looking at any Burpee catalogs just yet.
