DS's fever finally broke on Wed night. Yesterday when I got home from work he had a rash on his neck, back and chest. I did some research and figured out it must be Roseola. Sounds pretty classic. High fever with no other symptoms and about a day after the fever breaks the rash appears. According to Dr. Sears it occurs most often between the ages of 9-12 months old (DS is 11 months). My DH had a guys weekend with two guys he works with who flew in from Eastern Canada. They had hockey tickets for Sat night and hotel rooms near the airport. So DH comes home on Sunday and tells me what a great time they had at the game, yada, yada, and that after the game they went back to the airport strip and were having a few drinks in a restaurant when the boys decided they wanted to go a nudey bar. There's a cute little log cabin at the next concession over from us and I just drove by and it's completely up in flames. The fire department had just gotten there, they hadn't even started spraying it yet. From how good the fire was going and it being a wood house, I'm sure it will be burned to the ground. The ambulance was there too, I pray there was no one in it. It just leaves such a sickening feeling in the pit of your stomach to see something like that.

Just got an e-mail from my old friend M, I guess she tried hard to get everyone together this Friday with no luck. I feel really old now because she reminded everyone in her e-mail that it's been 25 years since our Grade 8 graduation. How is that possible?!?!?!?!?!

I'm such a dork. DH has been away since Monday and I've been checking his flight all day, first to make sure it wasn't delayed, then to make sure it had taken off, then to see if it landed. Too bad I can't check to see if he's made it through getting his bags and customs. It looks like he might even be home in time to pick up DD from school. She'll be absolutely thrilled!!!!

My old friend M dropped by this morning. Wow, I don't know how that girl keeps up with everyone/everything. I found out that she knows two couples that live on my road. Both kids are sick. DS kept us up most of Saturday night. So yesterday, DH had a shower about 5 p.m., the kids had a bath about 6:30. At 8 p.m. the kids are in bed, so this tired, cranky Mommy decides to fill up the Jacuzzi tub to have a nice long HOT soak. I finally went on Saturday to have my eyes tested. It had been far too long! Since I started wearing contact lenses about 15 years ago I've always had coloured lenses. I have blue-green eyes and I've always had either blue or most recently aqua lenses. I love the colour enhancement I get and people always comment on my eyes.
