  1. Very scared ...

    by , 05-23-2006 at 11:13 AM
My mom got a call from the ER doc she saw two Saturdays ago when she was diagnosed with pnemonia. She wants her to have another chest x-ray six weeks from when she had the one in the hospital. She said she's not supposed to do this, but she saw that my mom doesn't have a family doctor and just didn't feel right about not following up with her. She said her lungs were so messy from the pnemonia and she wants a better look or something to that effect. My mom has been a smoker for 45 or so years. ...

  2. Feeling better and a busy week ahead!

    by , 05-23-2006 at 08:28 AM
The sun is shining, the temps are warming up and so is my mood. We actually had snow flurries on the weekend. What a crappy May 2-4 Victoria Day long weekend. Glad we weren't camping!

Have an extremely busy week ahead. I have to go into the office on Thursday to work for the first time since having ds. Friday DH turns 40 -- OMG!! I wasn't up to having a big party for him here, so instead I invited some friends to surprise him at a local restaurant Friday night. DH ...

  3. 8 weeks old

And he's doing great. We don't go to the dr till the 29th for his two month check and needles. He's growing like a weed.

DD and I had a really nasty cold and flu bug that started over two weeks ago. DH was away on business last week, Grandma was really sick and ended up with pnemonia so she couldn't help me at all. I felt bad I couldn't do more to help her. I was so sick, absolutely exhausted and felt like my milk supply was dwindling so I started offering more and more formula. ...

  4. Six weeks old

    by , 05-05-2006 at 07:49 AM
My little miracle is six weeks old today. We had a really rough night last night. He fell asleep at 7, we went to bed at 10 and I didn't really get much sleep because he was stirring a lot. At 11:30 he wanted to eat, we fell asleep by 12:30. At 3:30 he was awake, dd was up coughing, dh was dealing with her. DS fell asleep around 5 and that's when dh decided he might as well get up and go to work. He left around 5:45. I dozed for probably an hour before ds was awake again, then dd was up. ...

  5. Six straight hours of sleep

    by , 05-03-2006 at 08:26 AM
Unfortunately it was from 7:30 to 1:30, but hopefully it's a sign of things to come! Getting up once during the night I could handle! He's really starting to smile a lot now too. His face is filling out and he's losing that newborn look. And thankfully the baby acne he's had for several weeks is almost gone. I'm still sticking with the bfing, taking it day by day.

  6. Catching up

    by , 05-01-2006 at 09:04 AM
Time sure does fly! My little man is now almost 5.5 weeks old. He weighed in at 9 lbs 3 oz last Wednesday. I'm still bfing but I've got to admit it's killing me. He still wakes up every 2 to 3 hours wanting to eat. I can't help but think if he was on formula he would be sleeping longer (maybe that's just wishful thinking). I may have to start going into the office the odd day here and there as of next week and if I do I'll probably start weaning. I've been working at home a little bit since ...

  7. 2 weeks old today

    by , 04-07-2006 at 12:01 PM
My little man is two weeks old today. He went for a weight check yesterday and is up to 7 lbs 14 oz. Yahoo! (His discharge weight from the hospital was 7 lbs 2 oz early Sunday morning and by Monday afternoon he was up to 7 lbs 4 oz.) He's 20 inches long now too. I struggled with bfing our dd. She just wasn't gaining enough weight on bm alone so this is just amazing for me. I couldn't be happier! The nights are still rough. DH has been back to work all week so I've been doing the nights ...

  8. New man in my life!

    by , 03-28-2006 at 02:48 PM
He arrived on Friday, March 24, 2006, at 1:50 p.m. I went to bed Thursday night feeling more contractions. They were pretty regular but felt the same as they did on the Monday night. I watched all of ER which is very rare for me to stay up that late and fell asleep shortly after 11:00. I woke up at 2:00 a.m. still having contractions although now they were feeling very sharp and happening every 5 to 7 minutes. I tried to wait as long as I could before waking DH. I also didn't want to have ...

No induction date for me. Told the OB about my L&D experience and he said there was no need for him to check my cervix again, it wouldn't have changed that much in less than 24 hours. So I see him next Tuesday and then he'll book my induction. He said my body's just not ready for labour, plain and simple. Looks like this will be an April baby ...

  10. 40 weeks

    by , 03-21-2006 at 07:04 AM
Had my first experience getting sent home from L & D last night. Does that ever make you feel like a dork!!! I was so uncomfortable yesterday. I was feeling so much pain and pressure all day. I started having regular contractions in the late afternoon/early evening. About 8:00 p.m. they were regularly seven minutes apart so DH called Grandma to come over to watch DD so we could go to L&D. We have a 45 minute drive to the hospital so he was getting kinda freaked out. I told him I thought ...
