... is going to drive me out of my freakin mind this summer!!!!!!!! It is so hard to keep a 3 1/2 year old and a 7 year old even remotely quiet during the day. We live in an open-concept bungalow and he sets up his computer in the dining room nook off the kitchen. I also work (if you can call it that) at home several days a week. And thank goodness I'm not very busy this summer. I came in to my office today just to have a break. Four more weeks till school starts!!!! I hate rushing the summer away but I seriously can't take much more. The kids were just wild and out of control yesterday partly due to the very unsettled weather we've been having, so my nerves were frayed and dh was short on patience. We have soooo much going on right now. We're involved in a lawsuit over our house and we're busy getting quotes and estimates and dealing with engineers and lawyers. We're building a cottage with my parents 2 1/2 hours north and we're getting totally ripped off by the construction guys up there because they have a completely captive audience. They're charging double what jobs should be worth and that's completely freaking my parents out. With everything DH and I have going on, we're just like, whatever, what's a few more thousand going out the window. We've just been so worn down by our house issues and have spent so many tens of thousands to get nowhere that we just expect to get ripped off and screwed from every direction all the time.

I guess I needed a good vent. Maybe I'll feel better now.

My DH works at home 3-4 days a week...we have a perfectly good office upstairs, but he was setting his computer up in the family room...until I set him straight. I work PT from home, also, and when school's in session, we avoid each other until lunchtime..lol
