Since we're going to the Bahamas, we have to get our passports. We've heard all the horror stories of it taking forever, not being easy, etc so we were a little nervous even though we still have six weeks before travel.

The govt. website states that they've recently made changes to the process to streamline it, hired more customer service support specifically for these changes but can you ever believe the govt? Yep. You can.

I applied for my passport Monday 3/3 around ...

DH and his store performed exceedingly well last year and we are the recipients of an all inclusive trip to the Bahamas in May.

Granted we're going with 24 other GMs, their spouses and a bunch of upper level management but hey... its a free trip! And its the BAHAMAS!!

We'll be staying at 'The Westin Grand Bahama Island Our Lucaya Resort'
for 5 nights/6 days (depending on air travel, we may be 'stuck' in Florida for one night).

I simply cannot believe the past year has gone so quickly.

The kids and I will be staying home. Just not interested in taking Smiley out of the house in those temps.

Genevieve found me pumping today and told me exactly how to use the pump She then told me that she was going to have a girl and name her "Girl Baby" and that when she gets bigger and her boo-boos get bigger she will use the pump, too. But she has to wait for her milk to come in. "Cause you know, Mama. I don't have milk yet."

Genevieve had her 3 year check up on 3/30 and was also the picture of perfect health.

She weighed in at 29.5lbs and is 36.5 inches tall.

She got 2 shots and didn't make a peep when she got them. Such a big girl.

She's been in the process of learning to use the potty for the last couple months... or longer, depending on your view.

I used Pullups for her and frankly, she's smarter than we are about it. Put a Pullup on her and she uses it ...

Miles had his six week check up yesterday along with 3 vaccinations and one oral vacc. OUCH!

He was 7.14 leaving the hospital on 3-4 and at the ped the next morning. His weight check on 3-14 was 8.7.

Yesterday he was 9.14. And 22 inches (20.5 at birth).


He's beginning to coo and 'talk' (I'd forgotten how incredibly sweet that sound is) and is starting to smile. Not exactly at us however but at whatever is just beyond my shoulder Goodness that's ...

Today is Miss G's 3rd birthday.

Yesterday we made cupcakes for her to take to school today and share with her friends. (We don't 'do' the big birthdays parties yet.)

She has presents to open this morning when she gets up. She has a new tee to wear especially for her big day (I'll post a pic of her in it later). She gets to share her cupcakes that she so lovingly sprinkled When she gets home from school, she'll find that Mommy and Miles bought LOTS of balloons for ...

BIL has been shipped to Afghanistan. They're apparently having some personnel problems there and his superiors were asked to find 6 men in their charge that were outstanding and could change things. He's one of the six from his company in the Utah Air Guard.

One time you DON'T want to be one of the outstanding people in your company.

*sigh*

He comes home in September.
