I got my Mirena(IUD) taken out yesterday. Now dh is going to have to get his V or it is protected sex forever. He said the other night that he was just having a mental block. I took a deep breathe and VERY nicely said, "Honey, I have had 2 c-sections, pregnant for 20 months, shots of insulin, 2 amnios and......I could go on." He said, "I know honey." I am not going to say anything else about it. He KNOWS what has to be done. I can't have another baby. My body can't do it. He KNOWS that. It makes me sad that I can't have anymore, but then I think about how blessed I am with my 2.

Allie!! I haven't made my appt. yet to have mine out. My dh doesn't want to get the big V, so even though I went through 8+ years of IF, Carolyn was a natural pg and I really don't want to get pg again. l'm old! LOL! Plus, I have IC. So............ What do I do???? Let me know if you feel any better with that out. I really think my mood swings are because of the Mirena! I was NEVER like this before except when I was on the bcp's during my IVF cycle.

Please let me know if you start to feel better.
I know I need to get mine out but I am so afraid to get it out w/o an alternate form of BC, at least until I am sure I am ready to try again.
I also think my major mood swings are from the Mirena. I would love to feel normal again. Good for you for getting it done.

I can tell you that I don't feel as bloated and my mood is ok, but I am on Lexapro so that helps me anyway
