IUI again and again

Posted 11-06-2009 at 01:08 PM by Allie'sLife

It's been a while since I posted anything. Since my last post, AF did visit on Day 31, which then became Day 1. The longest cycle I have had in a very long time. I know I ovulated on my own later (with no trigger shot) so I guess that is why my cycle went longer.....my luteal phase was doing what it was supposed to...which I don't think it always does. Anyways, I am now posting b/c we had our 5th IUI on Wednesday and 6th IUI today. My ultrasound on Tuesday showed three beautiful plump follies so I got my trigger shot that day (ouch...as usual) and went in for the IUI the next day. I asked my doctor the day of the ultrasound if he would be willing to do two IUI's b2b this month. We are nearing the end of our journey with this particular doctor so I wanted to give us every chance possible. He said absolutely. He did however make us space the second IUI out until today b/c he felt like the hubby needed time to recover some of his little fellas. All is good, now the waiting once again begins. The IUI on Wednesday was very painful b/c my cervix would not cooperate but hey, no pain, no gain. The IUI today was a breeze. It's really quite funny how everyone knows me and the hubby at the doctor office. I have grown to really love the doc and his staff. They are wonderful to us.
