Today marks two months since my dad passed away. I am struggling to get through today. I can't seem to wrap my mind around the what ifs and questioning if i did the right thing. Out of the 20 people that were there when he passed I had to be the one to tell them not to perform cpr and that it was ok to turn off the vent when his bp plummeted once again and his heart stopped. I lost my dad last Friday. It was very sudden. My mom (they have been divorced for 30 years) stormed through my door at Noon on Friday and said my sister called her and my dad was in the hospital and it wasn't good. I have not seen or spoken to my dad in almost 2 years (not a fight or anything I just couldn't be around his lifestyle and made the choice to stay away for my own sake and in hope it would drive him to change), I have not spoken to my sister in 7 months (she sees him almost daily ...

I have an interview tomorrow for my dream job! Please pray that I get this! It is with the same hospital network I am in now. The position is Full time 3 12hr shifts a week in OB/Nursery!!! I precepted in this unit back in school and I loved the 120 hrs I spent there!

Here our a few pics from our wedding day. Things seem to fall apart one after another for the past few months right up until an hour before the wedding! But thanks to my wonderful family and friends everything turned out beautifully.

What is the best way to answer those hard what are your strengths/weaknesses, what can you bring to this facility, why did you choose this facility questions?

What are some questions I should be asking them?

I have an interview, with a hospital in their long term care facility.

I know I just took this job, but don't wanna shut the door on someting better.

I need insurance and I just can't afford what the company I am with offers ($830 a month or $490 a month with a $15,000 out of pocket max!) The pay at the place I am at is way less, the hours are still wacked, with the 16 on 8 of 16 on everyother weekend, not to mention switching back and forth between second and ...

OMG that lady that interviewed me and gave me my schedule was way off!!! I will not be working 190 hours a month!. I will be working 120! Schedule is much better! I still will have the 16 hour shifts every other Saturday and Sunday, but will only be working two other days during the week.

My schedule for September goes
thursday 2nd shift
Friday third shift
Monday 2d shift
Tuesday 3rd Shift
Saturday 2nd and 3rd shift
Sunday 2nd and 3rd ...

Orientation is tomorrow at 9am!

I have till the 28th to complete my three days of training. Then onto the horendous schedule.

I am hoping that they start be the first of September (I believe the schedules are done monthly) I have an old friend coming in town the weekend of the 28th, and I would love sometime to meet up with her.

Well I am 99.9% sure I got the job. But I don't wanna take it! The hours are horrible. It is a part-time 2nd and a part-time 3rd, combined to make a full time position.

Here would be my schedule.

Tuesday 2pm-10pm
Wednesday Off
Thursday 2pm-10pm
Friday 10pm-6am
Saturday 2pm-6am
Sunday 2pm-6am
Monday 10pm-6am

Notice the two 16 hour shifts with only 8 hours off before and inbetween them! How the heck am I going ...
