I took Jillian back for a follow-up today at the eye doctor. Apparently her in turn is getting worse which is atypical for this point following surgery. The glasses that she prescribed at Jillian's last visit are helping at distance, but not correcting the problem at near. The doctor has now prescribed bifocals. If the bifocals don't correct the problem Jillian will need another surgery within the next year. If the bifocals do help than we have to watch and wait. According to the doctor...

Sari peed on the potty again today!

On Sunday night Jillian had her first sleepover. It was one of our very best friends' 3 year old dd. She slept on the trundle in Jillian's room and they had such a good time! They were actually pretty good, but I had to yell at them to go back to bed when they got up at 4:45am! They actually did! I know I am going to be getting alot more requests for sleepovers in the future......

Today I took Jillian back to the surgeon because her belly button hasn't been looking too great. After her surgery in September (umbilical hernia repair) it looked pretty good. She was so proud of her pretty new "inny" belly button. A few weeks later we started to notice that her belly button had popped back out. It's nice to be home with the kids again, but it certainly hasn't been relaxing! I'll start with yesterday....

Drop dh off at train station for 8:41am train
Go to Allstate to turn in carseats which were in accident and get reimbursement check for replacements

Monday morning dh and I spoke to our nanny about some of the issues we've been having. We told her how upset we were about the bathroom, especially since she didn't tell us about it. I also mentioned the safety issues with the Pine Sol left in the bathroom and leaving the oven on. I didn't even mention anything about the computer or some of the other things that have bothered me. I was not happy with her response about how the bathroom incident occurred, and I pretty much let her know that in...

After another week of h*ll on Thursday I finally told the partner I work for that I hate this job and I'm thinking of quiting. To make a long story short, she told me she really likes my work and wants me to stay. I told her that I can't spend 10+ hours a day away from my children to be miserable. If I am going to be there I have to want to be there and enjoy what I am doing. At the end of the day she told me she had spoken to the managing partner and he told her to do whatever she has to do...

Jillian went back to the eye doctor yesterday and we got more bad news. Apparently, her eyes are crossing and it is worse than it was 2 weeks after the surgery. The doctor gave me a whole lot of technical information, but the long and the short of it is that Jillian will need to wear glasses again - maybe forever. As if my accident last week wasn't bad enough, we just discovered that someone hit my parked car and broke the other review mirror. I'm not sure when it happened, but I'm assuming it was today. My car won't be fixed until next week so we had it parked in the street in front of our house. I don't know how someone hits a parked car and leaves the scene without so much as a note.
