  1. Starting Out on A Good Foot...

    by , 05-31-2012 at 06:21 PM
So, after reading many sites about the medication I took last week (Letrozole), I was informed that I should use an OPK starting on day 11. Today is my day 11. I wasn’t going to use an OPK because I have an appointment in the morning, but curiosity got to me and I took one. To my surprise I got a big fat I'm so excited because I have never gotten a positive with an OPK. I’m going to take another before my appointment and if it’s still indicating a surge maybe we can move to an IUI this weekend. ...

  2. Stim day #6

    by , 05-30-2012 at 09:25 PM
Received the last of my meds today. This time it was $980 worth. I am a little concered as the box arrived after the promised 3pm drop off. AND it was freaking HOT-**** fedex truck. It was 107 degrees here today so its no wonder. The gonal-f arrived cold packed so I am sure it is ok. I am worried about the expensive garinelix, and the novarel. The boxes state that the temp should stay under 89 degrees so I am praying they are ok. I was feeling sleepy again this afternoon. I have been drinking my ...

    Hello Everyone,

First let me start by saying, I am really excited about finding this site. I love reading everyone’s stories and was looking for a place where I can communicate with people who knows how I’m feeling. I haven’t told anyone about my infertility issues, except my 2 BF's and of course my hubby. So, this has been a really hard time for me b/c even though I know those 3 ppl love me they really don’t have any idea how I’m feeling.

  4. Month 11

    by , 05-30-2012 at 08:10 AM
Well we are into month 11. I have seen the RE, he says IUI is the way to go. That we can possibly get BFP w/o it but it would take longer. Obviously because I'm going into Month 11. Of course financial situations have come into play and we must wait on the IUI. I am hoping that it just happens with all the other work I'm putting into it. I have been having Positive OPK's and my AF is somewhat regular well 27 to 30 days for the last few months. We have male factor, low not impossible is how it was ...

  5. Stim day #5

    by , 05-30-2012 at 12:14 AM
Today I start this blog. I am not certain as to why, but it feels like the right thing to do. My journey of being blessed with my dear hubby's baby goes back a while but I will start with today. Today was my 5th stim day. I give myself my injections at bedtime so anywhere from 10-11pm. I give myself 10iu of hcg, 225 of follistim and 225 of menopur. Today I did feel a headache and tonight I was extremely sleepy. My feelings about all of this are actually very pleasant. You see I have had a bad problem ...

  6. Newbie - With dissapointing outcome of first IVF transfer

    by , 05-28-2012 at 10:35 PM
You have all been a blessing to me as I read and silently share my experiences. I have been through so many dissapointments with trying to conceive in the last year. I'll be married two years in July, but my age makes it difficult. We've been on the IVF schedule for 9 months in June. I'll also be 45 in June.

I had my first transfer. I learned today it didn't work. That's the dissapointing news. My husband and I decided we will try again. I hope so much the next transfer is the one. ...

Hi lovely ladies. Firstly congratulations to all of you that got your BFPs with good and growing HCG numbers. Such joy and happiness!!!!!
I only recently joined. I am in my first ivi cycle. Had my first beta result today 10 days after 5 day blastocyst transfer. I go back on Monday for #2 beta. Seriously praying for a miracle. I feel quite sad and discouraged . The only symptoms I ve had during 2ww were a little nausea and cramping. I feel so low today and a little nervous. Has anyone out ...

  9. waiting, waiting and more waiting

    by , 05-21-2012 at 11:36 AM
So I'm anxiously awaiting the call with today's beta results... this is beta #3. Beta #2, didn't go so well. I got a small increase on Friday's 2nd beta to 339 from wednesday's beta #1 @ 240. Beta doubling calculator puts that at 4 days doubling time... not a good sign. Makes me worry about this BFP being a chemical...

So I made it through the weekend and am just waiting for the call. I really don't have any symptoms aside from the the rare uterine twinge. Really hoping today's ...

  10. Moving to IVF

    by , 05-21-2012 at 10:56 AM
I never thought I'd end up here. We never considered IVF an option until now. We even went as far as considering donor sperm to avoid the cost and ethical questions associated with IVF... but after 12 IUI cycles, we've had to face the music. Sperm and Egg are not doing what they are supposed to do, and I've NEVER seen double lines in over 4 years. At this point we no longer are considered solely "male factor", we have to assume that there is some unexplained female factor as well. ...
