Can you please tell me a little about your self? How long have you been ttc? Are you just in between cycles or are you putting tx on hold for a while? How long have you been a member of Fertilethoughts? Is there anything I can do to make this board better?
A little about me. My dh and I have been struggling with infertility for almost 7 years. I have PCOS and my dh has low count. I have 1 daughter that we conceived through IUI and she is now 2. We are now struggling with secondary infertility as well and had a failed clomid cycle about 5 months ago. We are currently taking a break from ttc because my heart just needs some time to heal, I am trying to loose about 70lbs and we are out of $$ to see the re.
I look forward to getting to know you!

Hi, I really dont have anywhere else to go...I use to frequent IUI board, but after a few failed, was taking a break and got pg on my own...Now dd is 18 mo and I'm ready to try again..With my new ins, i have to get referral to RE and OB wont give me one until Jan...since she believes the cause of my IF was a fibroid I had removed. Anyway, going to try some herbs and maybe acupunture...waiting sux....
I was ok until this last month when AF was late, then light ...ugh, but I guess I dont have a choice

Hi! I was active in these forums years ago when we were doing IUI, had 4 failed attempts, then DH lost his job and we moved in with family so there was NO way I wanted to pursue having a baby during the last few years. We've finally gotten on our feet again, both have jobs and are on our own again (yahoo, living with family was HARD!!).
In the last few years I've started a journey in to more holistic living. I went vegetarian for about 8 months, and that has taken me to now a very whole foods diet that is gluten, soy and dairy free (but I went back to eating chicken and fish). I have been exploring reflexology and have has seen significant healing in my asthma to where I'm almost completely off my meds. I started doing yoga about 8 months ago and it has been life changing for me. I love the changes that are occurring inside and on the outside as well (hello arm muscle definition!).
Today I went to see an acupuncturist for a consultation. We do not have insurance that covers infertility, and after the nightmare of doing 4 IUI's with no results except for me going crazy, there's no way I'm going back to Western medicine again. I really liked what she had to say and I think I'll set up my first appointment. It's going to cost us about $300-400 a month, but if it takes 6 months to conceive, and I've spent $2400, that's a bargain for not having insurance and not having to see an RE.
Has anyone had success with acupuncture, or wanted to try it??

Hi!
My husband and I have been TTC for 6+ years now. I'm 24 and my DH is 25 and we are, what seems, the least fertle couple out there. I have stge IV endo and my husband has azoospermia.
We don't have any infertility coverage and so we have been waiting for a long time to finally have a chance to proceed with tx.
As for now, the RE is running bloodwork on me to see how i'm doing after my lap. I had a grapefruit sized endometrioma removed from one of my ovaries and a softball sized on from the other one. He now wants see if I have enough ovarian reserve left to do IVF. So, for now waiting to see how we are going to proceed. DH is on Arimidex and HCG shots right now to see if we can improve the count. We still don't know if it's obstructive or NOA azoospermia....
If everything pans out well, we may be looking at Jan 2012 for IVF for the first time! :-)

Hi everyone!! DH and I have been TTCing for the last 3 1/2yrs - first year naturally on our own and the last 2 1/2yrs with our RE. All my testing and levels are normal, but I am obese, which could very well be my issue. DH had mild MF, where his swimmers were a bit below average in numbers and motility. But ever since he's been on the vitamin cocktail, that our RE gave him, his numbers have come up. Right now we're on a long break from stimming, as I've basically been on meds (clomid) and injectibles (puregon) + IUIs for most of the 2 1/2yrs with no success
Now, we're saving up for IVF next year, and continuing on with natural monitored cycles + timed BDing. Who knows, maybe we'll get pregnant on our own, and won't have to worry about IVF. Either way, we hope to have enough money together to try IVF+ICSI next fall
Married the love of my life - November 2004
Me - 35 (obesity, very low AMH - 1.54) DH - 38 (MFI - 2% morph, slightly below average SC)
2010-2012: BFNs & 1 M/C @ 6wks in 2010

2013:
- Winter = BFN
- March = BFN
- April = BFN
- May: Naturally TTCing
Trying for IVF in June/July: Low Dose Suprefact/HMG/Ovidrel/ICSI
