My 5,000th post - KING ME! My reflection on my 3+ years on FT...

Well, here it is - MY 5,000th post, and I am now a King of Hearts .....

WOW. 5,000. If I knew when I started posting on FT when the new format appeared over three years ago, that in 2005 I would not only have 5,000 posts, BUT ALSO that I would still be childless, I wouldn't have believed it.

Shouldn't I be frolicking with my little ones by now? I think I've paid my dues!!! IT'S MY TURN NOW, GOSH DARNIT!!! haha

In the three years, I have had 36 eggs retrieved, I have donated 10 eggs to a couple in need, and I have had five little babies inside (I still wonder desperately why they didn't want to stay). I have a total of 10 babies in the freezer. Four of which will be thawed THIS SUNDAY and the ones that survive, even if it's all four, will get the chance at life that they deserve.

SOOOOOO, the past couple of days I have been watching my post count carefully to be sure I did not miss this occasion and post on it properly. There's no other place I can imagine posting it except here, with my Ya-Yas.

You guys are my therapy! You do more for me than my "therapist" ever did! I love each and every one of you, and I am so proud of my 5,000 posts. I just hope that with those 5,000 posts that I have made people laugh, helped people cry, given people information, and most importantly given people hope. So, to sum up my 5,000 posts, a brief look at my posts from the last three years on FT:

I just want to say Thank You for being here for us all. I myself have had many laughs, cries,information and hope from you so I'm sure others have as well.

Here's to hoping you're 6,000th post (or sooner depending how often you post) is on a parenting board!!!

You made your 5000th post very meaningful. I'm honoured to have "gotten to know you" and am able to cheer you on to victory. You are such a strong force on this bb, and I'm glad you posted your 5000th post here.

Maybe your 5100th post will be on the pg bb's where you belong.

I have only known you for your past, maybe 400 posts or so (maybe I'll have to look that up!), but I feel like I know you all 5000 posts worth! You have certainly in a short time done all the things you hoped for--you've given me information, tears, laughter, and especially hope.

I join the others in saying here's hoping that very soon, you'll be wearing your crown with little ones at your feet!!!

You are one heck of a woman and I have admired you for so long now... and have gathered strength from you in times of need... so, I THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!

Stace ~ Congratulations!!

I know it's crazy to think that you've been waiting so long for your baby/ies to come along, but just consider all the great things that have happened in your life since then - your wonderful DH being a case in point - and also remember all the people whose lives you have influenced for the better. And all the huge laughs you've given us in that time

And it is, as you said, YOUR TIME NOW ... so come on Sunday and lets get the next celebration started!!

Jo __________________ Me 30 DH 37 TTC 4.5 yrs 5 IUI's & a LAP in 04 (endo) ALL BFN IVF # 1 Aug 05 BFN (5 frozen) FET#1 Sept 06 BFN. LOW LAD elevated NK cells. IVIg, Prednisone & had LIT on Nov 1st. Last FET approx Nov 23/06 Then we are done and moving to adoption! Mademoiselle of all clarinet players & scrap booking who’s a wonderful mommy to 2 furdoggies and 1 furkitty whom will defeat IF from Toronto people.
