So, I transferred 2 blasts on day 5. Just out of curiousity and for fun... do you guys have a "feeling" if it's one or two for me??? When I got my first beta a lot of people said they were thinking 2.... I wonder if people are still thinking that based on the followups, or not so much?
beta #1 9dp5dt was 222
beta #2 13dp5dt was 765
beta #3 16dp5dt was 2150
I know no one really knows, just wondering what you think![]()

I think it could go either way. Remember betas are lower in IVF patients than IUI and natural conception early on. My betas are below. My betas were

Beta2 9/9 573

I just got back from the doc and its twins 2 small heartbeats on each 5w 5days. I am so excited. So it could be one or two!Heather

I just realized I never posted an update after my u/s on the 27th....
There was a healthy baby with a heartbeat- yay!!!!!! But, there's more.... there was another pregnancy sac as well, which shows that both embryos actually implanted. However, the 2nd one doesn't seem to be as developed and they are thinking it's probably not going to go forward. It was a lot smaller and there was only "faint cardiac activity". They said anything could happen, but it's likely to be something called a "vanishing twin", which would just get reabsorbed by the body instead of continuing to develop. They need to follow it and will do another ultrasound in 2 weeks (Oct 12) to check on the progress of both babies.
It was somewhat bittersweet news. I never set out "wanting" twins, but now that I know they both implanted I find myself rooting for the other one, and I feel like it will be kind of sad if it doesn't make it.... But on the other hand, we have one healthy baby that's looking exactly the way they want it to at this point (with a heartbeat!!!), and that's something to be extremely thankful for! They were also VERY clear that what's happening with the second one has absolutely nothing to do with the health of the first one. So that's a relief.
So I'm breathing a little easier now, but of course the worries have just changed. Now there's the next ultrasound to wonder about, to see what is going to happen with the other embryo. They were pretty clear that most likely that one won't move forward, so that's sort of what I'm expecting. Still, it's hard not to wonder...Me: 33
