praying there's still hope...opinions please

I am new to this so please stay with me.......

*found out I was pregnant by +hpt on oct 31st

*1st beta drawn oct 31st: 222

*2nd beta drawn nov 2nd: 316 (94 hr doubling time)

*3rd beta drawn nov 4th: 421 (116 hr doubling time)

Dr wanted doubling time 48-72 hrs
ultrasound nov 5th to rule out eptopic preg, ultrasound inconclusive, they couldn't find anything anywhere. Dr predicts it is not eptopic and will result in miscarry, and orders another beta with only 24 hrs between my last draw......

*4th beta drawn nov 5th: 568 (predicted doubling time 55.5 hr)

This seems hopeful to me, Dr dosent seem so sure and is redrawing on mon nov 9th along with another ultrasound (Dr again thinks its eptopic)

Does this seem hopeful to anyone else? anyone else with a similiar experience good or bad?

Me: 24
Hubby: 28

Me: pituitary adenoma

Beta Hell

I had almost the exact situation and the Dr. thought exactly the same thing. I am 32 weeks pregnant and the only thing we can think is vanishing twin took place. My baby is healthy it just took a few weeks to get the #'s to double acuratley. Good luck and keep us posted. Most of all don't let the Dr.'s skepticism bring you down. They are intelligent, but they can't always be right

I had a similar experience and mine ended badly.

In my case, it was ectopic. They were unable to see anything on the U/S, then finally found a small sac in the uterus. So we thought we were clear. Then I started having really bad abdominal pains and went in to find that my tube had ruptured and I was bleeding internally and had to go in for emergency surgery. The sac in my uterus was just a "pseudo-sac" and had no fetus in it.

They say by the time your HcG gets to 1000, you should definitely see something in the uterus, so you aren't there yet. Hang onto hope. It could end up just fine!

Just pay close attention to any odd pains and if you have them, get to the doctor right away.

I would still be hopeful. The numbers are still rising!

Thank you so much for the replies!

I went back today to find out that my betas are now 1800 And they found a small sac in my uterus but they couldnt verify a yolk sac They are concerned for a pseudo-sac. I go to a radiologist on wed along with more blood work. And the waiting game continues...........

With those numbers and seeing a sac at this point, I'd say you can be cautiously optimistic!! It looks good.
