Question Help with a Beta question please!

Hi all,

If a beta number keeps doubling as it should, does that mean the pregnancy is going good? Or can there still be problems with the pregnancy and the numbers still double correctly? Thanks, any help is greatly appreciated.

My understanding is that it is going good, but there can still be issues. I don't think you can ever be sure until you have the baby! Doubling is always a good sign - but things can always happen. Once you see the heartbeat at 7 weeks, you have less than a 5% chance of miscarriage. So I was always scared until then!

I agree with Mollie. When your numbers are doubling correctly, it means that the pregnancy is progressing as it should. There can be issues down the line. Once you see the heartbeat, there is only about a 5% chance of miscarriage.

Hi girls,
Thanks for your answers. I just recently did my first IVF cycle...I'm 5w2d now. My RE only does two Beta's..one 12DPT and one 14DPT if your levels double. My first U/S is Oct 27. I'm worried sick because I was having pinching in my uterus everyday and I haven't had that since Monday. It seems like my u/s is so far away! I hope everything is ok!
