Beta Weirdness

Hello everyone, my dates are below in my siggy. I am looking for anyone who has ever had a similar situation - happy ending not required. I just do not know what could be going on.

Beta #1 Sept3 9dp5dt 45
Beta #2 Sept8 14dp4dt 46
Beta #3 Sept13 19dp5dt 708?!?

Nurse said could have been disapearing twin, but I am having trouble believing that. Also had an ultrasound when I got beta 3, and nothing was visible anywhere- was told my levels are too low for anything to be seen yet.

I am sorry that no one has responded. I think many of us dont know what could be going on. I would ask if you had the Beta's done at the same lab and if your doctor thought that there could be some type of lab error. You are right that this is very weird...however I have no idea. Your levels are too low to see anything. Why are they waiting so long in between your betas? I hope all is well at your next appointment.

I agree. I would request betas a couple of days apart to get a better idea. I'd also make sure that the betas are consistently being done at the same lab. Using different labs can really skew the results. When is your next beta?

your numbers almost look right except for that 46 on the 8th. take that out and your numbers are almost doubling from 45 to 708 every 48-72 hours. hmmmm...hope they have you scheduled for another beta soon. i'm sorry. sooooo frustrating when betas are weird!

I'm sorry that you are going through this. I didn't respond because I'm not that much help with betas but thought that due to the strangeness, that at the very least, you should have another beta done. However, I do know that you most likely would not see anything on the u/s with betas that low yet. Best of luck to you!

Well, thank you all for responding

- sorry I had to get all pissy, but I am frustrated, ya know? The first 2 betas are from the same lab, the last was from a different lab(ER). My RE wants me to come back in in a week and have an ultrasound, but I do not think I can wait that long. I think I may go back to the ER tonight to see what has happened since sunday.

I would request more betas for your RE. I would be agressive. That would be a little cheaper. I was 6w3d (26dpt) if that helps. At that u/s I could see the heart beat and a rice size baby.
I hope your RE listens to you or you have success at the ER.

ok, so no way was I going to wait until monday. I went back to the hospital today (the same one where I got the 708 number on sunday) and it was 1549 at 1:30 (doubling 37.8 hours)!! Can you believe this???
