POAS - line is lighter today

Hello, I am new to posting here. I just got a BFP after years of TTC. I've done 3 iuis, and 4 IVFs and have had 2 m/c's. This pos was a result of my last IVF 2 weeks ago. I'm 40 with unexplained infertility. My beta at 9dp3dt (wed) was 38, my RE said he wanted it to be above 50, but since it was early it was OK. I just got another beta drawn a short while ago and will get the results in a few hrs. I've been doing POAS each day since Tues and the line has been getting slightly darker each day, except this morning, it was barely visable and that makes me worry. Has anyone here ever had an experience like this?? This was my last IVF try as insurance will not pay for any more treatment. I will be devastated if I lose this one too...

Yes, I know it freaks you out but try not to worry. The test is just detecting HCG in your urine, not exactly how much is there. I took 4 HPTS- back to back four days in a row, in August. The first was very dark and the 2nd was much lighter. It scared me so much, even though I knew better, so I went out and bought two more. Once again they were darker. If your urine is more concentrated that will make a difference. Maybe you had more water with this last one? Good luck- post and upate!

Thank you...it was 1st morning urine and quite dark so I don't think concentration is the problem. I'm not having any symptoms either after having some 2 days ago, and my BBT dropped .30 degrees which is all adding to my worry. I'm glad to hear that you've had a similar situation and all was well though...I need to hear stories like that

I will post when I find out, it'll be early this afternoon.

I am in the same situation. My HPT's were all dark between 8 and 10dp5dt. Yesterday 12dp5dt the lines were gone. I had my Beta this morning. I keep telling myself it is because I had been drinking lots of water but I think I already know. Just waiting for the phone confirmation.

I just got the call, beta went up to 138!! I am so relieved! Thank you all for your support. I guess you can't depend on those HPTs all the time!!
