Slow raising beta-any hope?

Hi Ladies,
Right now I am stuck in beta hell. My numbers haven't double after the second and third beta. I know that it is still considered normal if the numbers double within 72 hours and raise at least 60%, but my third beta didn't come close to either of those. I am trying to remain hopeful, but it is getting harder. Anyone have a similar story with success? I go in tomorrow for a fourth beta to see if the numbers are still raising.

Beta #1 10dp3dt- 126
Beta#2 13dp3dt- 298
Beta#3 15dp3dt- 459

TIA

-Shelly

Shelli:

You are not alone. I have been in beta hell myself.

1st beta at 10dp5dt: 152.7
2nd beta: 183.7
3rd beta: 481
4th beta: 787.4

I had a major emergency surgery (ruptured L4, L5 disk) between betas 1 and 2 (with terrible epidural due to the pg). Because I was NPO, I didn't eat for 16 hours and had to stop taking my lovenox for 5 days before the surgery (I have a clotting disorder). The DR thought is might be ectopic, so I had an early u/s. They saw something that looked like an sac. I have another beta tomorrow and another u/s next week. I am preparing for the worst but hoping for the best. My nurse did say that because the betas are continuing to rise, they consider that a good sign as I see yours have as well. The way I look at it is, I'm pregnant for today. I can't tell you about tomorrow. This is my 1st pregnancy and I'm 40.

There are other women here who have slow rising betas who gave birth to healthy children. I'm pulling for both us.

Hugs,
Gabrielle

Angels - my betas are practically identical to yours; 11dp5dt 72, 13dp5dt 126, 15dp5dt 233. I have an u/s scheduled next weds - 20dp5dt. There is still hope, albeit very very small, that I will have a successful pregnancy. I will continue going to church to pray in hope that he will help me through this.
Thank you so much for sharing your betas :-)

Good luck, girls! I know what beta hell is. My first beta came at only 24, my second was 78...
I had another beta today a week later and it was 7868, so I am relieved. My u/s is on Wednesday.....

Sending my prayers to you, girls!

I have been there and feel for you ladies. If you had more than one transferred, you could be dealing with a vanishing twin, as I did. You can see my betas in my signature and we saw two sacs during my first u/s, but only one with a fetal pole. Today I am 21 weeks with one peanut.

Good luck and don't lose hope!

Thanks for the replies, it does give my hope that this will all work out. I went in for another beta yesterday, and once again it nearly doubled but not quiet. it was 876. The clinic wants me to come in next week for an early ultrasound.

Oli- Congrats on your great number with the last draw. Wishing you the best on wednesday with your u/s.

Sweet Pea- Congrats on your pregnancy Wishing you the best for the remainder of your pregnancy.

I wanted to thank you, too. I had another beta today and went up to 1449 from 787. I have yet another beta on Tuesday and another u/s on Weds. I appreciate all the words of faith. I did transfer 2. My RE is cautiously optimistic. I will tell you that my symptoms ate increasing, mostly nausea and fatigue. Thanks to everyone for the encouragement.
Best wishes,
Gabrielle
