14 dpo - HCG 21 - Progesterone 9 --- success anyone?
*** Update ***
Success is out there, but I'm not one of them. Today my 3rd HCG confirmed a biochemical pg with an imminent natural loss. I am sad that the pg is not viable, but relieved that it appears there will be no complications. Thank you all for your feedback and encouragement! *** Original Post *** Anybody had a successful pg at the very, very bottom of the viable range? Am I better off buying a lottery ticket? My 2nd HCG is Monday. For now, I'm just glad to be pg!

My 2nd HCG is Monday. In the meantime I took another HPT. So, two days ago the line was very faint (HCG 21) and today it is medium!!! I'm taking that as a good sign.
I'm not naive: My mcs all passed 21 at some point and my HCG doubled normally with my ectopic. However, this is the earliest I've ever received a BFP. I'm taking that as a good sign also. Last edited by TTCyears; 08-29-2009 at 07:28 AM. |

My progesterone numbers were with both of my pregnancies. I took suppositories and all was well from there.
Please update when you can...and Congratulations!!!

TTCYears...I'm in a similar position. 15DPIUI and my HCG is 28. I am bleeding, light period like flow occassional mild cramps. My progesterone is also low. Doc put me on prometrium and I go back Wed to test again. Even with all my symptoms they are saying it's possible that nothing is wrong. Please let me know how things are working out with you.
Good Luck! |

Athena, thank you for your encouragement and interest. I have a close friend who also reminded me that her progesterone plummeted (even on supplements). She was told to await miscarriage ... but instead welcomed her lovely daughter months later. (And your daughter -pictured- is lovely too!!)
Penny Mary, my doctor claims that my situation remains in "indeterminent". I go back Thursday. Let me know your results Wednesday. I am hoping the best for you! My results: * 14 dpo - HCG 21 - Progesterone 9 * 18 dpo - HCG 44 - Progesterone 8 Unless there was a lab error, or the Swiss cheese on my hamburger impacted my liver function, then this pregnancy is not viable (HCG too low, doubling rate too slow). However, my nurse says not to cry yet. It's hard because my last pg HCG was too low but doubled normally - it ended in disaster (ruptured ectopic). It would be nice if this pg were thriving (baby's continued health!), or else passing (mother's continued health!). But of course it is doing neither. Per the nurse's orders, I'm still taking my medications. So since she says so: I'm here and I am pregnant!!! |

There are plenty of people I've been reading about who start off with low numbers and a slow doubling rate who then turn out to be fine. I will hope this is the case with both of us. I will let you know when I know more. Keep me posted.

I just wanted to offer you both my support, and tell you that you will be in my prayers. This is my first healthy pregnancy, and my hcg's were:
10dp3dt - 12 12dp3dt - 28 21dp3dt - 5,440 They were low in the beginning. I don't know what my progesterone was because I was on injections and suppositories, but I just wanted to tell you that I hold out tons of hope for you!! Best of luck ladies, and congratulations on your bfp!!

Nikki, oh my gosh! That is amazing! Your daughter may have taken her time to decide to where to stick, but then she settled in quickly! (smile) Wishing you both well.
Thank you for sharing. |

Well, I said that I would keep you posted...My numbers are looking up and I'm praying that yours are too.
15 DPO - HCG 28, Prog. 3.6 After two days of twice daily Prometrium 17 DPO - HCG 81, Prog 14.3 This seems good to me, though this is my first pregnancy and I'm just learning about what's normal. Take care! Let me know when you know more. ~ Mary |
