Advice please - hCGT, Prog, scan

Hi guys.

Background. No children. 3 Miscarriages, 2004, Twins in 2008 and 25th June 2009.

LMP 23 July.
BFP 11 August.
I think i must have ovulated early to get a BFP so soon. Maybe about the 1st Aug?

Going by LMP i am 4w6d today.

24th August levels were:
HCG = 5,570
Progesterone 54.34
Do they seem high for 4w4d??

(I got them rechecked today to see if hCG doubling but i won't have results until tomorrow)

When i woke up this morning there was a tiny but of blood when i wiped so of course due to previous miscarriages i freaked out. The hospital told me to come in as they should see something with levels of 5000+
They done the transvaginal scan and all the saw was gestational sac and a yolk sac. I was pleased to see a yolk sac anyway. The gestational sac for whatever reason is measuring 6w1d though. He said he would of liked to have seen a fetal pole as my levels are high but that we are in a "grey area" at the moment. I have to go back this day two weeks to be rescanned.

I am terrified this is going to fail and that i am on the same road again

I just saw this post now. Congratulations! Did you get your results for today?

My betas for my pregnancy with my youngest were:
20dpIUI - 3377
27dpIUI - 18203

Since you don't know when you ovulated, it's so hard to gauge where you are. The sac and yolk sac are great news.

Do you have an OB or RE? I would think that they should do an u/s as opposed to the hospital. Not that there is anything wrong with a hospital, but your regular dr. should have more of your information.

Your progesterone sounds great. I don't think your hcg sounds off either.

Please update your results if you can!

I live in Ireland and our doctors don't do scans or anything like that. I had four people in the room, one was an Ob and the other was a registrar and i dont know what the other two were. Midwives i think.

Your hcg should double every two to three days so you should be fine. It is not unusual for the embryo to measure five days ahead or behind.

I know that two weeks seems like a million years!

Best of luck to you and your little bean. Update when you can!

Hugs,
Athena

Congrats on your pregnancy. With my last little guy, I saw a gestational and yolk sac at 5 1/2 weeks but no fetal pole and my HCG was around 11,000. We saw the hb 1 week later at 6 1/2 weeks. He is 1 yr old now. Best of luck to you.

I was in hospital overnight due to some spotting and cramping. They said i am threatening miscarriage as they class any bleeding as that. They did see a heartbeat.

This is the scan, measured 5w6d. Thats the baby, the tiny little thing in the right lol
