Beta hell/ or early testing???

Well, girls! I am so bummed out right now. My beta came in at 24 today.

My eggs were fertilized on the 9th at 6 p.m. and transferred on the 12th at 10 a.m- thus, it was not really a 3dt or was it a 2day one-something in between. I tested today morning the 24th. So, does it make me a 12 days or 11 days.

I guess i could be any of these:

11 days post 2dt
11 days post 3dt
12 days post 3dt

depending if you count a day of transfer. So, what say you? Just give it to me straight, please! Do I have a chance?

I think anytime you have a beta over 5 you have a chance. It's not so much the number today, but if it doubles in 48 hours. Good luck!

My doc wants me to wait for 72 hours. I think I'll go nuts by then

Actually I think 24 sounds good. I've heard that early betas from IVF start out slow. Please keep us updated! Congratulations!

oli, I am currently in beta hell myself. My first beta at 12dpo was 36. Don't give up and hang on till the next one. I just had my 5th beta yesterday and have to have one more on Friday. I am going crazy waiting for my u/s.

I had my ER on Aug 6th and ET on Aug 9th. The dr counted that as a 3dt if that helps. My beta has been worrying me as well. It was a 98 at 14dpo with 3 embies tranferred. I get my 2nd beta results today and I'm just hoping that doubles. So, I agree with the others don't worry about the numbers, worry about the doubling. I know it's easier said than done, but we're in that same boat you are.

My first beta was taken 10dpiui and it was 21. Every pregnancy is different, but the numbers are really low if you take them early.

Girls,

Thank you so much for your responses. They gave me an option of going for my beta tomorrow since it takes 48-72 hours. I think I'll do that. I am thinking if my numbers are going up, it will show tomorrow and I will reorder my progesterone, and if they are falling, it will show tomorrow as well. In that case, I will discontinue my progesterone and let my body heal.....

At this point, there is nothing I can do.... it is what it is.... I'll just have to stay busy till tomorrow.

Well, girls!!!! Happy news for me. My beta went from 24-78 in 48 hours!!!!
