First time PG - Betas normal?

Hi ladies, I can't even begin to believe that I am posting on the pg boards!!

I just had my first beta from my fourth IVF cycle on Friday, 9dp3dt and it was 36. Today, Monday, I had second beta on 12dp3dt and it is up to 138.

Are these lower numbers normal and should i be worried at all about them? In our IVF cycle, we transferred one perfect eight cell embie, one 8 cell that was fragmented and two 4-cell embies. I am thinking that my one perfect embie has implanted.

Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Third beta is in and it is at 204 or 224. The nurse says that the machine didn't have it's controls set, so my beta could be higher.

But, I have not doubled from beta #2 and now I am beginning to worry. Does anyone have any stories similiar to mine that resulted in a positive pg.

Can you ask them to repeat the beta? The numbers are going up so I would take that as a positive sign!!!

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Sorry, I didn't get a chance to post on Friday. I had a fourth beta on Friday and is was 440. they re-ran my beta from Wednesday and it was actually 242.

So, my betas have been 36, 138, 242 and 440. They have all been 2 to 3 days between each one. I have to get another one done tomorrow. Even though they are doubling, they just seem so low to be viable.

Your numbers are rising appropriately. Congratulations!!! It's so stressful, isn't it? I used to make dh call the nurses for my numbers, because I would get so worked up. I think that you are fine, hon!
