Can someone give it to me straight?

Went to the dr on monday for an u/s. there was a sac and fetal pole. sac was measuring 4w5d--I should be somewhere between there and 5w5d. hcg was 6600 and progesterone was 21.9. On wednesday my hcg was 8000something and progesterone was 23.8. My dr wants me to come back in on monday for another u/s and more bloodwork. Originally he hadn't wanted me back in until July 28.

Anyone with similar experiences--good outcome or bad? Don't want it sugar-coated, just want everyone to be "real".

I've had 4 previous losses all around 9-11 weeks. All missed m/c. After my last one I found out I have a balanced chromosomal translocation of 1 &17 which give me an increased risk of m/c.

Unfortunately, there is no way to absolutely know for sure unless you have another ultrasound at 7 weeks. By 7 weeks, there should be a detectable heartbeat. HcG and progesterone levels can be deceiving, so we can't put too much weight on them.

I wish you the best of luck!

u/s today showed one little bean measuring 6w1d and hb of 120. So, good news for now, but this is how it always is, so can't get excited yet.
