first beta low, please help....

I am currently 13DPIUI & just got the magic phone call from my nurse telling me I was pregnant. However, my beta was 24 and my progesterone was 37.2. The nurse seemed optimistic, but I'm worried that this is too low. I also decided to take an HPT after the call and it was negative so now I'm worried. Has anyone had similar numbers and gone on to have a normal pregnancy? Thank you!

Awww I know how hard the beta game is. But have heart, sweetie. My first beta after my last ivf cycle was only 12, and I was worried sick. But two days later when they checked again, my number was up to 50. They mostly look for doubling, and how long it takes the beta to double. Things can still be just fine for you. I am now 23.3 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby girl, and have had no issues at all after the initial beta of 12. I hope very much that this is the case for you too. Be positive, honey. It is perfectly ok for you to be excited and happy right now. Don't take that away from yourself

Oh..and I was going to tell you..A lot of home tests will turn out negative if your hCg has not reached a certain level. So you just may be too soon to test positive!

Thank you so much for your reply, it really made me feel better. This is my very first pregnancy and it's taken me so long to get here. I was so positive that I wasn't pregnant I even broke down crying at the Dr.'s office yesterday. I couldn't believe it when they called me!
