when do you get your first ultrasound?

hi! I have been posting on the IVF for a few months...I just had my first beta today ( 17dpo) and it was 639! yeah! I go for another Beta on Monday...then, when will i have my first ultrasound?? Thanks for any help!

Most drs wait until about 6 weeks to do the first ultrasound. Much earlier than that and you won't see much of anything. Some even wait until 7 weeks. I would ask when you go in for your next beta and see what your doctor's protocol is.

WOW, that was an awesome first beta!! You must be excited for you first u/s! I have my first u/s on Wed. and I will be 7 weeks. Lots of times RE's wait till 7 weeks, because most likely you will be able to hear the h/b at this point!

Hi tenseintexas! U/S went great!

I started crying when I was looking at the monitor looking at the amniotic sac, fetal pole, and our little embryo! My DH and I were just in awe! THen we saw that little blinking light, (the h/b) and we also heard the

it was so amazing! 159! I got some cool pics that the u/s tech printed for us. I still can't believe I am "P", but this makes it feel a lot more real now! I can't wait to hear how things go with you! It will be a happy day!
