Scared about betas...any encouragement?

I'm not sure whether to be scared or encouraged by these #s:

14dpiui 131
18dpiui 471
20dpiui 869

The best I can tell, my doubling time is around 52 hours, but my RE is concerned that they're not doubling every 48 hours. I go in for an u/s next Wednesday.

Does anyone have a success story with similar #s?

Don't know why your doc is concerned. Those are awesome. It is supposed to double every 48-72 hours. You are right on track.

Thank you so much for that encouragement, Crystal. This is such a roller coaster of an experience! I thought they looked okay, too...perhaps not stellar, but at least within the normal ranges I've come across. Thanks again.

No problem. You should definitely see something on the U/S next week. They say the sac is usually visible once beta levels reach 1000, so you should definitely see it when you go in!

ShelP: Those numbers are great. My RE says that they don't need to double every 48 hours, they need to rise by 66% every 48 hours. The doubling thing is a myth. It sounds like you're doing great so far!

Linden: Thank you for that! My RE's nurse has me really scared, but based on the sites I've found to do the math for me, I'm doubling every 53 hours, with an average 2 day rise of 88%. I'm praying hard for a good u/s next week.

I agree with the others. Those numbers look very good to me. They are well within the 49-72 hour range.
