Had my first beta today!! Is this number good?

Hi there... I had 1 blast transferred on 5/22 that was 8 days ago, and today they had me come in for a blood test to check my HCG. They called me with the results and said i was at 68. Isn't that low? Not sure what all of the abbreviations mean on some of these boards so i just thought that i would ask. I am scheduled to go back in Monday for another beta test. so two questions here....

1. Is 68 low for 8 days after transfer?

2. Is it true that they are supposed to double EVERY OTHER DAY?

Thanks so much for any feedback... first timer here and I cant believe I am even able to post on the board... I am so happy!!! But scared too... Im sure you all know what i am talking about!!!

EIGHT DAYS after transfer? That's an AWESOME number. Most people get their first beta on day 12 or 14, so you are doing great!

They are supposed to double every 48-72 hours. If it doesn't quite double, that's ok.

wow Crystal, thanks so much!!! I was really worried about that... I know nothing about this stuff but its funny how quick i am picking it up... lol!!! You answered both my questions so thank you very much, i appreciate it!!

I cant wait to see what i am Monday!! Each appointment is just as scary as it is exciting if you know what i mean... ugh!!! I just need to relax i think!! lol...
