Normal HCG level at first test?? 14dpo

Normal HCG level at first test?
Good morning everyone!

This morning I went to the dr to get my first beta test. I took a test before I left the house this morning and it came back POSITIVE!! I just got a call from the dr and he said my level was 72. I am 14dpo. I had my et 12 days ago. My first pregnancy ended at 3 months and my last IVF came back positive also, but with very, very low hcg (12) which declined after 2 weeks and also ended. I am just wondering for those of you who have had a positive, what was the average # on your first beta after the 2ww????
I am just so nervous my number is low. I have heard people say it should be closer to 100. Is 72 low for 14dpo??? We have been trying for so long I just want this one to work!! If anyone could throw out some numbers about their first beta it would be greatly appreciated. I just dont know what the so called normal average is?? Thank you! Good luck to everyone!!! Miranda

Hey there!

I found out I was prego 13dpo and got a beta on 14dpo, my number was 41, which they didn't seem to concerned about. On 16 dpo it only went up to 52, and they basically said i was going to miscarry! At 18 dpo it went up to 124 and then 2 days later it was at 398! I am now 9 weeks prego! So 72 seems fine according to what the docs told me about my first number of 41!! Seems like you are right on track!! Good luck and happy pregnancy!!

I just wanted to let you know that my first number on 13dpo was 44. I thought it was too low. Doctors said it was fine. My following betas went to 15dpo 73, 18dpo 144 and 20dpo 277. My doctor does not seem concerned with the numbers. I have my first u/s next friday. Good luck to you. I know the beta numbers are so very different for each person and each pregnancy. Hang in there.
