Could it pick up again?? YES!! .. no...

My betas started out low, but were doubling normally, until today. I'm wondering if I need a miracle, or could it pick back up and start doubling normally again?

16dp - 126.3
19dp - 332
today: 23dp - 676

I know it should have been closer to 1200 or even 1300, and even that is low for 5wks2ds. I feel like it's slipping away, again. Anyone have experience with this?

I might have another test on Tuesday. It's going to be a looong, long weekend.

There is a chance that you had twins and you are losing one that would explain why your beta would decrease in speed but will pick up again.

Try to stay positive, although I know it's hard, but I agree, it could have been twins, and now one. A similar situation happened to a friend of mine, she went from 750 to 950, in 48 hours. There were originally two... now she has a 3 year old boy.
I'm also having a long wait as well... My #'s were 136 11 dpt, 238 13 dpt, and 450 15 dpt. My ultrasound is Sept 5th... and I go from having symptoms like sore boobs, to none at all, like today.

Not sure if it puts my mind totally as ease, but my number jumped today! I think is is still on the low end for being nearly 6 weeks, but it did the doubling thing!

I have a similar situation my beta started dropping at 342 the next beta showed 242 then the dr said we will do one more beta the level has to drop to 0 I was so bummed out all weekend and today I went and my numbers went up to 549 wow is this possible im really confused now is it possible to have a healthy baby why did it drop , please help me I need someone right now in the worst way I cannot wait till tomorrow for some kind of explanation do the levels slow like that drop and then go up. We did this with no IUI cause the folicles were on the right where the ectopic was. so they said dont waste the money skip this cycle and now all of this.

The only explanations I can think of for slowing or dropping betas that pick back up is perhaps a vanishing twin, or maybe lab error (which does happen). Though, there is so much mystery still in the human body .. so much we don't know.

I guess time will tell, and we just have to be positive while we wait.

I don't get an u/s until I'm 7 weeks. Feels like an eternity, but I know it'll be here before I know it!

My new phrase is: "The most important day of my pregnancy is TODAY! I'm going to ENJOY it!"

I called the Dr at 9:00 am and I told the secretary the beta increased and the last to dropped she said come in talk to the DR so I did he seems to think yes there very well could have been another there and it didn't survive and that is why it dropped it dropped from 342 to 312 to 245 now 549 i will have an ultrasound tomorrow at 8 am he said we wont see anything yet but we may get an idea of where its at a sac maybe and to see if its in the right place and another beta tomorrow gosh this is driving me crazy i asked what my chances are this could all come good he said well your numbers are rising and he said we have to keep our eye on them im a basketcase I will keep you posted.

Well, the verdict is in. I had bright red bleeding this morning so my DP took me to the ER. After an ultrasound (that showed an empty uterus) and a beta that went down by almost half I'm losing my third pregnancy in less than a year.

It seems so strange that after 3 miscarriages (ending roughly the same time and same way) none of my Drs have even one idea of what the problem could be. I understand humility, but geez, make a freeking guess!

Good luck everyone. I am going to check out for awhile so I can heal my heart. Thanks for the support. I hope to be back with better news sooner than later.

Well I had an u/s and they seen nothing enometrium thickness was good alllooked well for a possible developing sac until i got my beta results ,there was a thought of twins and I lost one and all may be ok but i dont think now there is much hope and he will do an endiscopic to try to find it so i dont know what to think anymore anyone ever been ok with weird beta numbers like this please I need your advice I cannot go again till saturday
