rebounding beta=m/c? help
hello all,
I have not been back to FT since my m/c in Nov lst year. I have a question. I recently found out I was pg again cd25 & got +hpts.. I am pretty sure I O'd around cd 15 or close to it, but I'm not 100% sure anyway Here are my bhcg #'s: Surprise BFP 07/24/08 - beta of 42-cd29/41-cd31/223-cd36/324-cd37- ? - cd39 given a 1% chance of viability given by OB's office My blood was drawn by my PCP & has drawn by the same person each time & gone to the same lab. I should be 5w3d according to my LMP, but my #'s are incredibly low & was told too low to maintain or develop a healthy pg. Anyone have any clue here

The 2nd beta must be a lab error. Even IF the betas are too low for gestational age- that just doesn't make ANY sense cuz they are rising. Interesting. Until you have an ultrasound you really cannot assume anything because since it was not a medically assisted pregnancy-- there is absolutely NO WAY to be certain how far along you are just yet.
I'm sorry that you are going through this but I would not count yourself out yet. Not at all. Everything is still very much up in the air and that odd beta number should be tossed given the excellent rise that followed. |

I am wondering if you initially were pg with twins and lost one early. That would account for the stalling of your numbers on the second beta and why it continued to increase well after that. Have you had another beta? Or are you going to be getting another beta? I would be interested to hear new numbers.

I actually had 2 today, one at my primary & one at my OB
My primary's # came back at 2628, not quite doubling from last thur they did see (at my ob today) a ges sac in its proper place & possibly the start of a yolk sac. They think i O'd later than i suspect. Only pinpoint me at about 4.5 to 5 w not sure where OB's # will be, somewhere in the same range i would assume. will know tomorrow
