1s beta-worried

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am totally freaking out! I just got the results of my first beta and although my RE says I am PG and the number is good, I am not convinced. I have read sooo many posts here and most everyone has had higher numbers than me on their first beta. I am 11dp3dt and my beta is 71. I had a miscarriage (chem preg) in the past and I am just terrified that this will happen again. Anyone have any advice or good stories to share? Also, what exactly is a chemical pregnancy? My second beta is ordered for anytime between 7/10 and 7/12. I am having my labwork done in town because I am 2 hrs from my RE. My first beta was yesterday 7/7, so when should I go in for the second?

Congratulations on your pregnancy! My RE looks for a beta of 50 at 14dpo (equivalent of 11dp3dt). So I'd say you are in good shape!

I am sorry that you had a chemical pregnancy. I'd be optimistic this time around though. Your number sounds very good!

You can do your repeat beta two days after the first. My RE liked to do them once a week which felt like an eternity!

Please update when you get a chance! Very best wishes for a healthy and happy pregnancy and little baby!!!

Good luck to you, think positive. I know how hard it is to wait. I am waiting for my 3rd beta hoping it continues to rise. My 1st was 131, 2nd was 220. Did you go for your 2nd yet? What was it? I am praying for you and sending happy thoughts your way.

You want your number to almost double. I hope that they rise quickly for you!

Our little miracle:

Each day as I watch you struggle I am reminded to find joy in the little things, to stop and smell the flowers, and that some things are more important than material things. Your smile melts my heart, and takes the chronic pain away, if only for a fleeting moment. Thank you for the joy that you bring, my son.
