low beta & stressed....

Hello,

I just wanted to ask a question about my beta. I am 5weeks according to the dr. My beta is 64 and I have been spotting for a few days. I am so worried and wondering whats going on. Could this still turn out to be a normal pregnancy or am I having a MC?

Lots of women spot during the first trimester. I don't know if 64 is good or bad. If you have another beta, it will be a better indication. If it doubles, that is a good thing. Will you be doing any other betas?

Well I just called the dr. and Im going in tomorrow morning for another beta. So hopefully it will have at least doubled because the first 1 is from monday....so it will be about 2.5 days by tomorrow morning. When they told me it was 64, they said it was a lot lower than they had expected so thats whats got me worried to think that maybe I am having a MC because of that and the bleeding.

Maybe it was a late implanter which means that by the time it did implant, the numbers would have began to rise later than expected. Anything is possible. Let's see how your beta goes tomorrow.

I'll be praying that your number goes up like it should.

I just got my first beta number and it was 74 and my doctor said it was good. I'm about 4-1/2 weeks along (give or take a day or two). They say that Beta numbers are really all over the place and that if it's doubling then that's a much better indicator than the actual number itself. Hopefully when you get your second test it will have doubled. Good luck, I know this is so stressful. Hang in there.

I live in Montgomery County and I work in Frederick.

Thanks for all the support. I should find out later today if my values have went up.

Congrats sunshine. That sounds like a really good number. When are you getting your second beta?

Ambwi00, how did the beta go today?

I go for my 3rd tomorrow morning.

Thanks Tweety, I'm actually going in right after work to have my second number run. I should have results tomorrow afternoon. So hoping that it turns out well.
