Please Help-Beta rising but to slow

Hi Ladies,
I am looking for posative outcomes with slow rising betas. here are my levels so far

14dpo 88.5
17dpo 181
23dpo 561

Dr. said they are slow rising. I told him I was concerned with ectopic & he said he was a bit concerned too. I have more b/w & u/s Monday which will be 5 weeks & 6 days pregnant.

anyone have a similar situation that trurned out to be a viable pregnancy?
Or if you did have an ectopic what were the signs?

thanks

trying4baby1 - Sorry to hear you are going through though this. I have had 3 ectopic and w/ 2 of them I had severe pain in my shoulder and in my rectum area (sounds gross I know), and a gassy feeling. I know that w/ me, I started having these feelings before 5wks. With my last ectopic last Feb, I had the gassy feeling and sharp rectal pains that came and went but no shoulder pain which RE said was very unusual. Oh yeah, I had numbness in my thigh as well.

Unless you have anything like this, I wouldn't worry to much. You may just have slow rising betas which is very common on this board. There are plenty of women who have started out w/ slow rising betas and continued to have a healthy pregnancy.

Good luck w/ many sticky vibes coming your way.

Thanks for your thoughts. I really don't know if this a sign or not but I have a stiff neck for two days now. When you had your ectopic, was the shoulder pain in the middle of your upper back(kinda Near shoulder blades) & was it sharp pains or like an ache or stiff neck? I have to go monday for b/w & u/s but i'm a nervous reck in the meantime. evert time cramp or ache is freaking me out!

No, I didn't have any pain in my neck. With the ectopic in my right tube, the pain was in my right shoulder & arm. When it was in the left, the pain was all in the left side. With the 1st 2 ectopic, the pain was the worst in my rectal area. When I mean pain it was so bad that it hurt to walk and it litterally took me a 1/2 hr to get myself off of the toilet it hurt so bad. It was a stabbing feeling. You have to remember, that your body is going through a lot of changes and when we go through IF, we tend to over analyze every little twitch, pain, cramp, you name it. When I was pg w/ ds from FET, I had cramps, lower backpain, funny feelings in my neck and arms and even had bleeding. I had 2 embies put back and lost one but was blessed w/ ds.

If your not to worried about taking Tylenol then why don't you take 2 just to relieve any discomfort you might be feeling and relax this weekend. Give you body the rest it needs.

Jonnysmom-thank you so much for responding to me. you are so sweet. if I may, were your hcg levels any indication of the ectopic or was it just the pain that diagnosed it?
I am so sorry for your losses & very happy for your ds.

I wrote my HCG levels w/ my last one and they looked like this.
19dpo - 77
21dpo - 94
23dpo - 338
25dpo - 676
27dpo -2187
29dpo - 4156

Re was suspicious when he got 3rd bet but you have to keep in mind that I was high risk for an ectopic so he was very sceptical from the beginning. on 27dpo, they did an u/s and they didn't see anything in the uterus. My betas started out slow then sky rocketed.

Your numbers look good. I really wouldn't worry so much unless you are experiencing any of the symptoms I mentioned. How have you been feeling this afternoon?

thanks again. I feel ok except for a stiff neck. I think it is stress related. my dh reminded me that I had the same pain when I was stimming. I know that worrying isn't going to help but its hard not too. your hcg levels looked good to me. why was your re concerned, other than your history? i'm more concerned than my re. he said that he would be more concerned if I had a tube problem but I don't. I actually kept saying from the first beta that the #'s seem low. the 3rd one was extremely low & my re wasn't Concerned until I reminded him that is was 181 6 days earlier & onky rose to 561. do you know of any other reason why my levels are so sliw besides ectopic or miscarriage?
anyway, thank you for listening. i'll keep you posted.

If you read other posts on this board, you will surely find plenty of women that their betas were low and went onto have healthy pgs. Was this pg natural or did you do IF tx? My RE was concerned mainly because of my history and when he saw my numbers it put more doubt into his mind. However, you have to remember I have damaged tubes which is already a mark against me. That's why we are doing IVF so we can avoid the tubes or should I say tube. I lost my right one last year.

I am more then happy to give my support. I have been were you are and I know it's hard and you can driver yourself absolutely crazy. Yeah, please do keep me posted. I think you will be fine.
