What can I expect? Beta not doubling

These are my betas:

15 dpo 52
17 dpo 104
24 dpo 324

My doctor is away so I can't ask him. I stopped the Prometrium and now I am waiting to see if I miscarry. I also have the possibility of it being an ectopic. I am going back on Monday for a repeat. I am so scared because I have never had a miscarriage. My DH is going to go to work until 5:00 so I will be alone. He said he will stay but I am not sure anything will happen before then.

Does anyone know what I can expect?

Hi Lisa,

You know, I have seen much lower betas that have resulted in normal pregnancies. Doubling should occur between 48-72 hours so yours are not completely out of the ballpark. I would not stop the prometrium until I saw that my betas were lowering. It wouldn't hurt to keep taking it.

If in fact you are miscarrying, since it is so early, it will probably be a little heavier than a normal period- at least mine was. Your betas will have to start going down before your period will start.

I pray you just have a slow starter and that everything works out.

Take care.

Lisa

Did the RE's office tell you to stop the progesterone? If not PLEASE keep taking it!!! You just never know and you don't want to risk it! My numbers were like 50, 90, 128 or similar to that (I cannot find where I wrote it down) with my two year old so sometimes they just don't double. I am sorry you are going throught this

why did you stop the progesterone??? numbers don't tell the whole story!!!

my friend JUST went thru this...

17dpo 145
19dpo 275
23dpo 475
25dpo 800

her doctor has complete hope for her...and she does, too! don't take things into your own hands, just yet!

I think I am miscarrying. I am bleeding and I have blood clots. I went for bloodwork this morning and found out no doctors will be around today. I am so upset. My HPT are getting lighter so I am comforted that it must not be ectopic.

Thank you so much for responding.
